I’m liking Telles, he’s slotted in well. Seems to be one of those players that just gets on with it (and no negative reaction to being pulled off for Williams). And how good is Cavani? His signing could of gone either way with our past history of bringing in players in their twilight, lucky for us he’s looking the business.

Remember when we used to post in pure celebration and jubilation at an injury time win from 2 down?

So Cavani replied with "Gracias Negrito" to a friend on Instagram after the match.
Already started the "racist" storm.
He should have known better than to say it, but the comparisons I've already seen with Evra and Suarez are out of order. I'm finding myself on the fence about it, it's very obviously a million miles in difference from saying a generally used term to a good friend, to saying it to a rival in a huge match. But, he should have bloody known better than to use it, Gods sake Edison the Suarez thing was only a few years ago.

But we know the sensitive bullshit times we live in today. He really should have thought twice before posting it. There's talk of a 3 game ban already.

I’d love to know for what I’m still waiting for the film White chicks to be banned as that uses the above word a few times and has actors playing people of a different race(and gender) it should work both ways

fair enough DVD wasn't as good as midweek or the potential he has, but he was still very good. that's how good he is. people (not just on here) said he didn't have a good game. but he didn't have a good game compared to his standards. compare him to mctom and pogba and he was brilliant.
finally a midfielder that can pass the ball and move. its been a very long time since we have had a player like him.
get a better CDM/CB/RW in January and we could be right up there.

We're obviously in for a debate which would include racism and hypocrisy in equal measures. He should have known better after the Suarez-Evra incident. It's all well saying this to a friend, but the Instagram thing is the difference here. Like all of us, public figures talk all kinds of shit privately, but in an era dominated by PC policing they should be careful with what they say in the (social) media.

"The Football Association will look into a deleted social media post by Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani which contained a Spanish phrase that is offensive in some contexts.
Cavani sent the message after scoring the injury-time winner in United's 3-2 comeback win at Southampton on Sunday.
It is understood the 32-year-old says he meant the phrase affectionately and that that is how it is used in his native Uruguay.
Once it was pointed out to Cavani how the wording could be interpreted in the UK, he deleted the post.
United are aware of the post and understand Cavani's interpretation of how it was sent."

Cavani`s movement was brilliant for both goals while others stood around watching he was on his toes ready to pounce, if Rashford and Martial are ever going to be proper strikers they need to learn from this guy, no excuses they will be training with him.

I don't see how Cavani has done something wrong. It he is speaking with a friend, who the fuck is the FA to say anything? It's not anywhere close to Suarez telling Evra those words. Two black friends calling each other the N word is okay, me calling someone I dont know the N word is not.

All I can ever think of when a 'nigger' incident comes up is that interview Samuel L Jackson did during the media for Django. Interviewer was trying to ask about the use of "the 'n' word" and clearly being massively uncomfortable. Sam Jackson just pretends not to know what word the guy is on about .

Apparently Di Caprio was feeling uncomfortable saying the word, Samuel Jackson, being the gangster that he is, pulled him aside and said "motherfucker this is a regular tuesday for us."

You can't coach that kind of instinct, you either have it or you don't,no other CF at the club would have scored those two.
