We just cannot rely on Matic. If we use him every once in a while, with good recovery time, he can do a good job. But he's not a starter for a decent Premier League team. It's insane we gave him such a long contract, we all said it even when he was in arguably his best form for the club. The Matic-Fred combo is so so uninspiring, and very little of that is Fred's fault. Playing with two defensive players shows you how weak we are at the back. I can understand why Ole persists with this selection because look at the spurs game. I think Southampton will just coast this game now. |

I have no idea how people are blaming DDG for that. He did bloody well to get as close as he did. If you picked up the ball and placed it in the goal you wouldn't get better placement. Blame Greenwood for missing one golden chance and one good one (though not too much as he has too much pressure on his shoulders at his age because we didn't buy Sancho), and blame Bruno for missing his even more golden chance. Blame Rashford for dreadful marking and blame the coaches for asking him to do it. I really don't see how DDG gets the blame for either goal. He dives with his arm behind the goal line. It's a good free kick but de Gea is giving himself a problem straight away. |

In fairness, the first 20 minutes we were comfortably better, they couldn't deal with our midfield specifically and if Mason scores an open goal it's a very different game. Neither goal we conceded is due to the tactics, and it was a shitshow after the second, but that was because everyone's heads dropped massively. That said, a good manager would get their heads up and tweak for a now very different game. Ole probably won't do either but we'll see. |

There is a much better team in this squad that we are showing. its blow hot then cold then rinse and repeat if we lose this the club seriously need to be looking beyond ole and the current coaching setup either in jan or next summer. |
