Eagle eyed members of RoM... has anybody spotted a training picture from today that shows Cavani training? For very crucial FPL reasons Don't think he'll be available. Thought so but was clinging onto hope rather than taking another hit!

He was injury prone a year ago and they bought him anyway. What did they expect?

He was injury prone a year ago and they bought him anyway. What did they expect? Don’t remember them being concerned about injuries with Shaw Rojo Jones Bailly Before renewing contracts ? Sounds like he wants to go and they’re briefing bullshit.

Alex Shaw on twitter saying that the people who broke Cavani to Utd are saying he’s very close to joining Boca.

Alex Shaw on twitter saying that the people who broke Cavani to Utd are saying he’s very close to joining Boca. Obviously that now means Haaland is joining in the summer, absolutely buzzing.......

I thought Ole spoke well after the game about Cavani’s situation. He’s trying to convince him to stay at least. It also occurred to me that Cavani has never won a European trophy so it’s another reason to win the Europa.

It also occurred to me that Cavani has never won a European trophy so it’s another reason to win the Europa. I mentioned it before - Cavani and Falcao were my dream strikers for the previous decade. Falcao not working out here broke my heart. Cavani is working out and if he leaves I'll suffer a second heartbreak. Old Trafford deserves to see one of those diving headers live God dammit. He needs to feel the love from the Stretford End.

Yeah I think Ole is quite sympathetic to Cavani's situation. But it probably doesn't help matters that we keep being linked with strikers. Cavani didn't come here to warm the bench. And I imagine he isn't going to wait all summer to see how our pursuit of Haaland and Kane goes and be our Plan B.
He was a little unlucky this season with the suspension and injuries. But it would be great to give him a run in the side as our number 9 until the end of the season and see how he does. Playing regularly would probably ease the homesickness and if he wins the Europa with us he will probably be hungry for more trophies next season. The Boca option isn't going anywhere. And hopefully it will become apparent by the end of the season that chasing after Kane and Haaland is a waste of time and Cavani is capable of doing a job for us next season as we slowly ease Mason into the number 9 role.
Oh and he made a lovely comment on his social media:
"La injusticia nunca tiene que ganar," which loosely translates as injustice never has to win. Hopefully won't get him in trouble again with the FA. But a fitting summary of a fantastic game.
