Tough game to call. They're weaker at the back than us, so I can't see Klopp playing into our hands and going right at us allowing us to play on the counter.
Think it's likely to be a very edgy affair with few goals. In truth, a draw isn't disastrous for either side, though it does kinda play into City's hands but it's so early on in the season that I'm not really fussed about that. If we draw at Anfield and don't win the league, it's not going to be because we only got a point against this lot.
Very much like the previous suggestions of a scrappy, lucky 1-0 with a late winner.

Really think we'll win here by more than a goal and without needing and without any shenanigans

I would like to see Telles here. Shaw has been fine recently but Alexander-Arnold already struggles with Rashford, so adding Telles to the mix will really send him spinning. That's especially important if, as I expect, we go with four midfielders (including Bruno) again, as Rashford will have a wider area of the pitch to cover. So when he's more central, Telles can come forward. I get the logic behind Telles, but we play so much better with Shaw. If Telles starts I can see him coming off at the half.

We could be points clear of them after tbis and they could be as far down as 5th by the end of this weekend.
If Carslberg did football weekends its this one.

Weird feeling this morning. Not quite the anxiety and tension I'd have felt before a game like this under Fergie, as we'd have expected to be in this position or better. This has creeped up on us all a bit by surprise and I'm sure most would've been happy being within a couple of points of the scouse at this point of the season, let alone ahead of them. Kind of feels like a free hit for us.
Having said that, I genuinely feel a win here today could be the actual turning point of the post-Fergie suffering.

Like everyone on here I don’t care if the game’s an utter dog and we win by a scrappy OG tbh, although my favourite would be 92 minutes in, referred to VAR, penalty given, up steps Bruno, 1-0 OGS extended interview coming up on SSN in UK in a minute.

What’s this I’m feeling? Pre match nerves? Before a league game?
It’s been far too long.

Quietly confident due to our away record. Would be nice to end this brilliant home record Liverpool have had, but can maybe see a draw, which would still be a good point.

Our record vs. the 'Big 6' was fantastic last season, and is dreadful this one. This would be a perfect way to fix it ahead of the second half of the season.
