Well that was shit!! This has the feel of that time we went to Wigan, lost 1-0 and proceeded to bottle an 8 point lead. See what these soft bastards are made of now. They might just end up being made of soft bastards. That’s what I’m afraid of.

Not in any way trying to excuse that shower we all unfortunately witnessed, but it’s worth noting that since Klopp put our name in his mouth, we’ve been denied a stonewall pen, had Maguire’s perfectly good goal inexplicably ruled out, and that debacle today.

Basically an illustration of the lack of winning pedigree in the current squad.
It's something we've been trying to address with signings like Cavani and Bruno, but we need to build that title-winning character into this side.
We had an opportunity to beat the Scouse and go 6 points clear last week, we bottled that and followed it up with a loss, at home, to relegation fodder with an inexplicably (almost) full strength side.

It’s actually been a while since the last time us losing a game pissed me off as much as this game did. I think that somewhere around LVGs 2nd season I started to simply not expect us to win, so the shock of losing wasn’t as inflammatory for me. This game was as bad as it gets though - might even be worse than the 1:6 thrashing to Spurs.
On the Ole thread, I mentioned the 5 reasons that I am not in the “Ole-in” train (extremely poor tactical acumen, horrible in-game management, Maguire as captain, horrible defensive setup, and just being thankful to have the United gig when Ed and the Glazers totally shafted him on his 2 summer windows) and for me this game was just a perfect example of everything that bothers me about him as our manager.

Their second goal was horrific from our point if view so many players at fault. There are times in interviews ole looks like a lost little child. I know he's not that kind of character but get fucking angry once in a while Don't laugh and smirk after we have just been fucked by the worst team in the league I have so many doubts about him and this team and if I'm honest at this stage would be happy to get third I'm absolutely sure that his message to the players in the dressing room was different. I'm surprised people actually pay too much attention to what he says on television after the match. TV money is huge, managers have to do interviews, give them the usual cliches and off to the dressing room and preparations for Saturday.
Extremely bad day in the office. Ole is not responsible for the loss any more than he is for us dreaming of a league title in January.

First attacking change in the 82nd minute of a match we were already losing. Get to absolute fuck Ole. Just another classic example of his piss poor in game management and tactical acumen. This is just not the team you lose to. go on any Utd forum and most posts use that angle (maybe not the exact words)when talking about ole.

Well that was grim. Back to earth with a bump. No idea why Martial’s goal was disallowed, that was a poor decision, keeper fucked it up and was saved by the whistle.

He's dropped this season compared to last, but I am ok with him still. He's still mostly a great defender bar the occasional loss of sense. He struggles going forward, but a) this is only his second season in a team that actually attacks and b) he only just turned 23 two months ago, so he has time to learn how to cross, when to overlap etc. Compare that to Martial for example, who is older, has been here longer, appears to have regressed compared to several years ago, and is showing no signs of learning or understanding what is missing in his game. Not convinced about awb, its martial all over again, hes 23, if he can't cross and attack by now he never will, hes one of the ones I'd say has no footballing brain as well, you can't teach it. How long have we waited for martial to come good.... don’t forget AWB hasn’t come through the ranks he cost £50 million(you should be getting an all round finished article for that) this is one of our problems as a club we just wait until someone comes good rather than get another player in that position and let them fight it out for a starting place. I could include the manager and Ed in that(waiting to come good)

I absolutely do not care what the referee did last night. If we are relying on the fucking referee to help us out against the league's worst team - the league's ABSOLUTE WORST team - then we are absolutely fucked. No use moaning about Martial being shite. The manager started him so it's on him. How much worse would Diallo have been last night? Or even Dan James. What the absolute fuck are we paying Mata, van de Beek, and the others for if he doesn't trust them to start against shite like these and have an impact? If they aren't worth starting against the bottom team in the league then why are they there?
Shambolic. Not only did we lose 3 points but it was an utter, utter embarrassment as well since we had our strongest team out practically.

I know this is the last of our issues at the moment but why has that knobend Jake Humphreys called this the shock of the season? Surely the Scousers getting thumped for 7 was bigger Probably because the worst side in the history of the premier league beat alleged title challengers away from home. And were comfortable doing it. Don't forget a under strength version of the worst side in premier league history who could not even fill their bench & had a 38 year old at centre back. They defended deep & were well organised,OGS would have expected that,he might not be a great manager but he's not stupid. Chris Wilder isn't stupid either & his first thought going into the game would have been to try & try & avoid defeat last night. Martial wasn't injured when he went down in minute 5,you could tell what kind of an evening he was going to have from then on & yet OGS decided to persist with him,if I were Greenwood I would banging on OGS's door this morning wanting answers. What was the plan last night, put players out there & hope for a moment or two of individual brilliance,it normally is but that's not elite level management that's blagging it. The change to Cavani was far too late, there was no change in tactics to get the ball into him, just a switch to the right for Rashford & Martial on the left & what was the plan when he bought on Shaw & DVB? ? there was no plan, it was a mess & again hit & hope football That was our worst ever Premier League defeat,a complete & utter embarrassment from start to finish. We heard him this week saying everyone is now under pressure & there is competition for places, thats bollocks, there are far too many managers picks in that side that play every week & normally the full 90 & we will know who they are. It's as clear day what needs to happen to get us remotely in a title race again,a change of manager & significant investment in the squad, neither will happen because we we don't have the money to pay him & the staff off, recruit a decent manager & invest in the squad to the level needed, the money ain't there for any of it & this charade will continue.

Morning all.
Had a horrible dream that we lost to Sheffield United last night at home. Weird.
Anyway, on to tonight's game...
Right?

Ole does not have a plan B he sends them out and if its not going right he`s stumped, as for Jagielka having an amazing performance thats bollocks we made him look good. Still fuming.

Martial needs to be fucked off. This is always his general attitude when he plays.

As soon as teams put men behind the ball we're like rabbits in the headlights. We lose all sense of what we're doing. One thing I am getting fed up of is bringing the ball forwards, seeing nobody move or making space then passing sideways or backwards. Its not the fact we lost the game I'm pissed. Its the way we lost it. There's no urgency in our football and its one style. If that doesn't work its frightening how clueless we look. Still beleive we're in this title race but we are holding onto to it by a thread. We really can't afford to keep doing this shit again and the players need to fucking realise it. I'm hoping this is a massive wakeup call but that more hope than anything at the moment. guess we'll see Saturday.
