tbf i can understand the club needing to get rid of some players before bringing more in.
Pogba : 45-50m : Saul/Neves/Camavinga - get this done this window and end the circus James : 20-25m : Diallo/Elanga to fill his space Pereira : 15-20m : Doesnt need replacing Dalot : 15-20m : Trippier Matic : 5-10m : McTom/Fred as we dont need to be seeing them both start next season. Jones : free : Doesnt need replacing
williams - loan fee Axel - Loan fee
Lingard i am open to him staying as a squad player as a good back up to Fernandes/Attacking positions. Martial i'd be open to selling too if the right fee was paid
thats a good chunk off the wage bill with players that can be replaced with available option in the market or players we have in the youth set up.
Henderson / De Gea / Heaton AWB / Tripper Varane / Bailly Maguire / Lindelof Shaw / Telles
McTom / Fred Saul / Neves / DVB Bruno / Lingard
Rashford / Martial / Elanga Cavani / Greenwood Sancho / Diallo / Mata
that squad is an improvement on the previous seasons

Trippier noises not going away, at all. Think that's the one that'll rumble well into August. In which case, put that one on the back burner and concentrate on a midfielder and any sales. I still think we need a striker, too.

I still think we need a striker, too. I have read that Trippier is quietly confident that the deal will happen and is happy to wait for it... We really need to sort out Pogba and the midfield situation in general... Time to focus Mr. Murtough...

Reports are saying we want £22m for Pereira which is also completely ridiculous even in a normal market. And Dalot only seems to interest the Italian clubs who don't seem to want to go much above £10m.
As for Lingard I understand the opposition to selling him to West Ham for a reasonable transfer fee. But the only way he is going to get game time is if Bruno gets hit by a bus. And the West Ham experience shows that he needs regular gametime to get anywhere near to his best. We'd be much better off trying to get a song out of Donny.
Also cannot imagine us getting a transfer fee for Pogba. PSG are the only interested party who can afford his wages and will have a free run at him next summer and can get him on a free.
When you combine the difficulties we will face offloading players, Ole's recent comments, the likelihood the Pogba saga gets extended until next summer, and the Glazers probably feeling they've done enough to get the fans off their back, it all seems to indicate we are pretty much done for the summer.

Bit of a fantasy, but hoping we are effective enough this summer at clearing out some deadwood + addressing defficiencies to free up the entire transfer budget to get Haaland next summer As you say, when Cavani leaves there is a big opening for an out and out striker. -

We shouldn't allow past failings to stop us doing positive things now. because depending on how much we make in sales will depend on the best possible incoming. the fees generated from sales + the money already in the account to be used will differ. it could be the difference of lets say Saul or Neves

We'll have to get a top class striker and a top class midfielder next, unless Greenwood massively develops as a number 9. Pogba will either leave this summer or next and we'll still be looking at McFred for the next 2 seasons if we don't recruit now.

We have the money to pay out dividends today (we don't actually, it's from yet another overdraft facility) so signings before outgoings shouldn't be an issue. If we're so well off we shouldn't be having to worry about sales funding purchases. Is penny-pinching, as always, and we need to never shut up about it until it's stopped.

Murtough is getting the benefit of the doubt from me as he’s had an excellent window so far. The Pogba one is the trickiest up to this point. I’d really be pushing a resolution on that if I were him. We need him to sign up or bugger off and replace him with Saúl or Neves.
