I'd like VDB to start as one of the deeper midfield two for this one. Both Fred and McTominay are in form, but do we really need both against quite possibly the shittest team in the league?
Then again, we lost pathetically to the other contender for shittest team in the league not long ago...

Yeah if VdB really was signed as Pogba's replacement then he needs a run of games now instead of bedding in at the start of next season

It's going to be incredibly ugly.

Get ready Sam Johnstone to prime Gordon Banks.

Get ready Sam Johnstone to prime Gordon Banks. I don't understand this. When was the last time a goalkeeper genuinely had an unexpected, proper worldie against us? Not just a couple of good saves whilst we faffed around for 90 minutes before drawing, but a proper worldie? We have no one but ourselves to blame for the vast majority of dropped points in recent times.

Recently itโs been profligate finishing, or is trying to walk the fucker into the net.

But most of them recently have been our shots finishing.

Heaton probably had jelly fingers the game after that. They usually do.

Yeah I think we need to play Donny alongside Bruno. I think they could develop quite a good understanding. Donny's strengths are his positioning and off the ball movement (in that respect he is very different from Pogba). So it is not surprising that our more limited players such as Fred and Matic struggle to play with him. But Bruno certainly can.

Swear, if we go with the McFred axis in this, then Iโll be apoplectic. If I were the manager, and I should be:
Henderson AWB Axel Not Maguire Shaw
McSauce Donny Bruno
Greenwood Cavani Rashford
12-0

Donny isn't starting this. Nor should he.
