It was good to win it the other year, but this is a second rate competition, just shows how far this club has fallen, and tbh it's our level, we are a second rate club now, the sooner we all accept it the better, tbh we all new what kind of level we was at when we didn't buy Sancho
Sociedad our doing well in the league and they could easily beat us over the two legs which wouldn't surprise me at all.

We don’t have a great record against Spanish clubs going right back to Fergie. The only wins I recall is one in the knock out tie in the EL under Jose and possibly one with Moyes in the CL. |

As fans(and club)it was a disappointing season if we didn’t at least make the last 8 of the CL. |

Couple big wins over Barcelona in a final and semi-final... Sadly a couple of Ass whuppings in finals and semis too. Overall we’ve played 57 games against Spanish teams and only won 13 times. We’ve lost 22 and drawn 22. Our record since beating Barca in 08 is atrocious. We’ve won 3, lost 10 and drawn 8. I don’t know for certain but I doubt any country has given us more pain than the Spanish, particularly recently. |

Haven’t we had 4 games vs them, and all 4 ended in 0-0? Absolutely dreadful games. |

Yep, that would've been the sensible option, but UEFA can't lose their precious TV income. For all the many faults of the FA/EFL, at least they had the decency to scrap replays and the League Cup two legged semis this season. |
