Please win. Europa is the better bet but this is still a great chance at a trophy. It may also fall to us to stop City winning the treble, like we did with the scouse all those years ago.
Despite all the shit, two good trophies and a decent league finish would actually be a very good haul for the season.

We have our faults but an inferiority complex when it comes to playing City isn’t one of them at least. As improved as the Rents are, they don’t have many goals in them so we’re the best option to stop City in this competition. |

Guess that means Bruno is getting a much needed rest. Play him here - it’s a really important game - then say he has a back problem. Portugal have three walkover fixtures in their World Cup qualifiers, and if we need to sell it more he can be on the bench for the Brighton game too. Lovely two week rest. Even if he does play for Portugal, rest him vs. Brighton anyway. A significantly less important game than an FA Cup quarter final. |

I think we should be prioritising this as a good opportunity at a major trophy. At first glance I thought Ole couldn't care less based on that lineup, but in fairness if we assume Cavani isn't fit yet and Rashford is out then the only changes I'd make would be starting Bruno and McTominay, so not miles away. And even though I'd rather he got a game vs. Brighton than here, VdB getting a chance is good (ditto for Telles).
