Rashford has tortured Trent but I'm torn with wanting Pogba to continue in the wide left raumdeuter role. Yes that’s tricky. Personally I’d play Rashford today and give him Thursday off. These type of games is what James should be used for. just leave rashford in Manchester and stick James on the half way line for the counter attack

kill their CL hopes off. rest players on thursday were pretty much through.
no way do they make the level of signings again at them prices : Salah, Mane, VVD. teams know they have a bit more money now. let them scrap it out in europa league which is a massive hinderance on the league campaign

Zero guarantee that will happen again.

Huge. The Roma second leg we can rest a few, but we need full strength today. Rashford always terrifies Trent as others have said, but the Pogba on the left formation is working well so it’s a tough decision. I’d go for a midfield diamond with Rashford and probably Cavani as wide forwards, with Rashford in particular sticking wide and Bruno probably moving forward to almost be our attacking focal point. Rasher is out of form but he always makes Trent shit himself and he would probably be able to again today even in his form.
Need McTominay and Fred to play well. Their defensive industry will be important as we sit deeper, and they’ll need to help in getting the ball out for the counter as well. If they play badly it won’t matter what the front four do.

Given that Rashford looks completely knackered, and possibly injured, of late my preference would be for Pogba on the left. Ideally Greenwood on the right but we know he’ll stick Marcus there regardless.
Cavani has to start as well.
No doubt VDB will be on in the 88th minute.
TBH as long as we win, ideally comprehensively, I don’t care.

Looking increasingly likely this’ll get called off.

While the whole initiative of football clubs ans football journalists to boycott social media in the fight agains racism is good and long overdue, it would've been good for us to have more coverage of the protests out there.
