Only thing is that’s a week before the Europa final - as good as it’d be to beat the Scouse, would it be worth, say, a muscle injury to Bruno? Might make more sense by then to rest players. Play Fulham that day. It’ll be cup final weekend. |

From a personal point of view, i would have enjoyed watching this game after a tough few days. From a United point of view, this is brilliant. Won't force the bell ends to sell, but its a step in the right direction. Bad publicity this. Well done to all involved.
The downside is that it's come during this social media boycott.

Souness is such a thick out of touch cunt. Carragher has been immense today, may be sacrilege to say that about a Liverpool player in a United/Liverpool match thread but he's been spot on with every point and even disagreeing with Souness to defend us.

Fucking legends those fans today. I mentioned it before on here but I found myself flicking through Carragher’s book in the library one day. He wrote quite a bit about the rivalry between Utd and Liverpool and it was very balanced. His admiration for Fergie and players like Scholes shone through, I was suprised and impressed. |

Man Utd Roma (6 May), Villa (9 May), Leicester (12 May), Fulham (19 May), Wolves (23 May), probable Europa League final (26 May)
Liverpool Southampton (8 May), West Brom (16 May), Burnley (19 May), Crystal Palace (23 May).
Looking at the fixtures maybe best way is to reschedule either our game against Leicester or their game against West Brom. At least that way the season can finish on time. And either solution won't have an impact on our Europa League final preparations. Even if the Leicester game gets rescheduled closer to the game I am sure by that time 2nd place will be in the bag and that game won't matter.

That Carragher soliloquy at the end today, recalling the vilification of football fans of the 80’s and making sure that’s not the narrative today was so good. Genuinely thought he was close to tears during that. Must kill him that Liverpool fans haven’t done something similar, yet..

Oof. Playing 19th, 21st, 23rd and then the EL final on the 26th could be bad. Seems illogical to not move one of the other games when the space is clearly there. We should realistically just play the full 2nd XI for at least the Fulham and Wolves games, but Ole does really struggle with rotation. |
