If I am Ole I pray the Glazers never sell up because any serious new owner politely tells him to step aside

I'd go with Pogba centrally. He likes playing in finals and will rise to the occasion. He was very good in the final against Ajax a few years ago and I'd expect the same. Fred is the weak link and a manager of Emery's intelligence will realize that and exploit it and you don't want a player with his low confidence going into a big final. And definitely want Rashford starting. With our defence shaky and our central midfield weak we need to ensure there is a sufficient threat on the counter that Villareal will be discouraged from having a proper go at us and make sure our forwards keep them on the back foot.
But yeah its not great that our results have been so terrible as of late and we've been leaking goals like crazy. Intellectually we can tell ourselves that top 4 was already wrapped up and we'd wrapped up the Roma game in the first leg and the FA fucked us with the revised fixture scheduling. But psychologically it must be having an impact and with all our managers in the post Fergie era we've seen how slumps can take on a life of their own.

Today was the perfect opportunity to give Fulham a good snotting and get some confidence into the team. Ho-hum.

Emery will see a lot of weaknesses to exploit in that team, this is bad form going into a final.

9 wins out of 19 home games has got to be sort sort of record dating back to the 80s? Not even Moyes was that bad, was he? Edit- yes he was. Worse. His away form was decent I think.

Agree with Stew. Full on reserves against Wolves even if Leicester still have a chance of pipping us to 2nd place. Let the players regroup and try to forget the horrible month they are having and instead focus on a rare opportunity to win a major trophy. Because there will be nowhere to hide if we don't beat Villareal and if Roman was our owner it would be a sackable offence.

We had one decent half against Villa and aside from that we’ve been absolute dirt the entire month of May. Battered by both Roma and Liverpool, lost to a good Leicester and poor against a relegated Fulham.
Very worrying.

I'm watching other teams and the way they move the ball with such fluency and pace and yet our bunch still turn up to games and its like they're strangers, every now and then we put some nice moves together but it all seems very disjointed to me most of the time.

Edit again. Liverpool will still go 4th on goal difference if they win, Leicester gonna fluff it again

Sacked by Colombia national team in December. I'd love him back as our assistant manager. I really have no idea what Phelan brings to the table but I think Quieroz was a massive factor in Fergie finally starting to crack the Champions League. Anyone know what Carlos Queiroz is up to these days?

Anyone know what Carlos Queiroz is up to these days? Queiroz took massive credit for us beating barca in 08 to get to champs league final. Both Keane and neville said he drilled the team on defensive duties over and over and over again.
