Sacked by Colombia national team in December. I'd love him back as our assistant manager. I really have no idea what Phelan brings to the table but I think Quieroz was a massive factor in Fergie finally starting to crack the Champions League. Anyone know what Carlos Queiroz is up to these days? Even though he can’t do any worse that whatever is the coaching setup now we have to stop looking back at ex staff from past glories. we need to start looking forwards

Yeah I really can't imagine anyone in our current coaching set up doing anything like that. My guess is our training sessions consist of the lads having a kick around and sharing some jokes and banter with Ole and the coaches. Sacked by Colombia national team in December. I'd love him back as our assistant manager. I really have no idea what Phelan brings to the table but I think Quieroz was a massive factor in Fergie finally starting to crack the Champions League. Queiroz took massive credit for us beating barca in 08 to get to champs league final. Both Keane and neville said he drilled the team on defensive duties over and over and over again.

Can’t see us winning the league with Ole, even if we have a remarkable summer transfer window.

Can’t see us winning the league with Ole, even if we have a remarkable summer transfer window. we’d probably need to buy city’s whole team and add mo salah to stand any chance of that.

Well that is that then. 2nd place wrapped up. No prizes for finishing 2nd but don't tell Ole that!

I don’t think we are any better or worse than last season.
All our good and bad points haven’t really moved much either way.
Shite first half’s Defensive fuck ups Individual brilliance for our goals Baffling late subs Poor squad rotation Poor in game management

Yeah as far as I'm concerned the only real improvement this season has been our run in the Europa League. Would be nice to win that trophy again but if we do that it will really be as good as it gets under Ole and a nice send off.

Shite first half’s Defensive fuck ups Individual brilliance for our goals Baffling late subs Poor squad rotation Poor in game management This. Ole has shown zero improvement for me from the moment he walked into the door. Squad morale is better but that was way more due to Jose than anything Ole has done really, any manager coming in would have lifted this, Jose had utterly killed the mood at the club. It truly astounds me how anyone is defending him to be honest. If I started a new role 2 and a half years ago and hadn't improved my performances in any aspect, I'd expect to be out the door. People can point fingers at Ed as much as they want but I very much doubt that: Ed entered a "Must be subbed on in the 88th minute of games" clause in VDB's contract Ed is conducting training and refusing to focus on how to simply defend a corner. Ed is in charge of substitutions and Ole can only make a change when he allows. Ed has insisted 4-2-3-1 is his favourite formation and players must be shoehorned into this formation no matter what. Ed, Fred and McTominay are all best buddies who hang at Ed's place every night playing X-Box, so Ole forced to play these two together every week. I mean seriously, "Ole wanted Sancho and didn't get him" as an excuse is a pretty flimsy one. And by pretty flimsy I mean totally shite.

Got the KO time completely wrong and was in work until close to 20:00. So I missed the whole game. What I did not miss, was the inevitable despair and angst at the inevitable concession of a shitty late equaliser at home to a relegated team. This fucking manager. Progress my rear end.

Emery will see a lot of weaknesses to exploit in that team, this is bad form going into a final. They'll pass us to death, we'll hang on. They'll eventually score, we'll equalise on the break shortly afterwards. They'll win loads of corners second half, with eventually their centre half coming up, towards the end of the game, to put it away top bin in the 91st minute. Ole will then put Donny on in the 92nd minute. Written in the stars.
