The Roma game could have been a travesty without him.

I like Henderson and think he’ll be a fine keeper. But Dave is still class. And given the shower that’s going to be lining up in front of him, we’re going to need him in beast mode next Wednesday.

Will this be the first time since fergie left that we have made the champs league on consecutive seasons? No but only on a technicality. We got in due to winning the Europa under Jose and then came 2nd the following year. This is the first time we’ve done it ‘properly’ so to speak. It’s actually pathetic we have to even speak of these things. Fucking Woodward.

Far much being made of DDG playing last night,he was being rewarded for 10 years loyal service. Next Wednesday will still be his last game at the club.

Yeah but that mostly reflects improvements in the squad (e.g. Bruno's arrival and Rashford and Greenwood maturing) and the players not yet downing tools under Ole the way they did under LVG and Jose.

Arsenal have conceded less than us in the league. Arsenal. But Maguire though?

Last season: CL, no title challenge, no trophy. This season: CL, no title challenge, trophy? If we don’t win next week, this season has been a failure. Third to second without any title challenge emerging is not progress. This season has been a failure regardless. Winning the cup that we're only in because we failed in the big boy competition doesn't change that.

9 wins from 19 home games. We add another 7 wins and we're just about champions. Awful home record and fuck all this ' the fans would help us' like we are the only ones with nobody in the ground. Sort it out Ole for fuck sake. We need a massive summer. ole doesn't seem to understand that those same home fans would have helped all the other teams at home too. We would not have come back and won half those away games with the home crowd buzzing and kicking their team on after scoring against us. Works both ways that's why there have been some odd results in football this season.

Sacked by Colombia national team in December. I'd love him back as our assistant manager. I really have no idea what Phelan brings to the table but I think Quieroz was a massive factor in Fergie finally starting to crack the Champions League. Even though he can’t do any worse that whatever is the coaching setup now we have to stop looking back at ex staff from past glories. we need to start looking forwards I partially agree with you. But we need to accept that, unless something extraordinary happens, Ole is here for the long term, and so are his coaches. Bringing in someone with a proven track record, who knows the club and the manager, and is known to be diligent can only help. We need to do something. Better players will help, but we all know that isn't the only problem.

But we won't, as evidenced by the appointments of Murtough and Fletcher. It's why Richard Arnold is probably going to replace Woodward. We're not going to go out of our way to find the best people for the job, so we might as well get someone we know is competent at the very least, and Queiroz is definitely that. It's a moot point anyway. It doesn't appear that anyone from inside the club has any problem with the coaching. It's going to be poorly drilled defence and all but non-existent tactical flexibility for at least another season. Maybe 'we're going to hire a new defensive coach' is going to be the new 'we're going to hire a DoF'.

Arsenal have conceded less than us in the league. Arsenal. Well, they do have the Spanish Sean Dyche in charge. But no, a disgrace nonetheless.

Liverpool have had a shit season.
As it stands, they are 5 points behind us.
They will finish above us next season along with City and Chelsea. Battling for 4th next year barring a miracle guys.
