I think it’s fair to say the board is divided on Ole. But I’d love if this thread was a positive one, with no griping and points scoring depending on the way the match goes. We all know it’s not the Champions League but it’s still a major trophy. Personally I’m not sure he’s the right man but I desperately want him to lift this cup on Wednesday night. It’s important for him, it’s important for the likes of Bruno and the younger players, it’s particularly important for Edi. And maybe, just maybe the swine in charge might see a European trophy and second as a reason to actually strengthen a decent side to make it a very good one.

Should be a good game. Last time round Ajax were a bit too green and it was a case of men against boys and Jose made sure we took full advantage. But Villareal will be a proper test and will be well organized and difficult to beat and look to capitalize on any opportunities we give them to sneak a win. And of course Emery is a specialist in this competition and will definitely have done his homework and be very well prepared.

If Rashford fit and raring to go, then he plays left. It's his best position, simple as that. Bruno 10, Cavani up top, Greenwood on the right.
Pogba can start further back in midfield and McTominay should get the nod alongside him, Fred has been wank in recent months.
AWB and Shaw pick themselves, suppose it'll be Bailly and Lindelof together at centre back.
De Gea in goal, even if he's staying he deserves to start this after missing the last final.
They're a dangerous team and Emery is a very experienced manager, but player for player we're better than them. Go and make it count.

I have tried to hold my tongue on this because I know people think I am just constantly negative about Maguire. But he's a fucking gimp. We are not a worse team without him and if anything we are are better. Suggesting anything else is honest to Zeus delusion. I am sick to death of seeing this line about wanting/needing Maguire back for the final. Say you think he should lift the trophy as (completely undeserving) captain - no issue with that to an extent. Please can we stop pretending he is some vital component of our team. It is making me furious. He's fucking shit. End of negativity: Let's win another bloody European trophy!!! |

Not going to happen but I also think Pogba should start ahead of Fred in central midfield. Pogba when he is in the mood can dominate a midfield and he'll be fired up for this.
