No excuse not to start Sancho with Cavani and Rashford unavailable.
My team would be:
De Gea-AWB, Maguire, Varane, Shaw-Matic, Donny-Pogba, Bruno, Sancho-Greenwood
As we clearly aren't going to get another midfielder this summer we need to resurrect Matic and give Donny a proper run in the side. And I much prefer Pogba to Martial on the left. It makes it a lot more difficult for teams when they have to keep Bruno and Pogba quiet.

The closer this get, the more I want us to smash these fuckers. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, they've mostly had a decent summer break, so murder ball is gonna be in full effect. Hoping Oleball is super effective against it.

I can't see this being easy, our 2 new signings will likely be on the bench(If Varane has even been registered in time) so we'll no doubt be starting with McFred as a 2 man midfield, maybe Pogba left and James on the right and Martial through the middle with Bruno behind, so we won't look any different to last season for this one. Donny to get his usual 2 minutes at the end.

Hope i'm completely wrong and its swashbuckling stuff with us scoring 4 or 5 😁

I don't think Chelsea had even bid for Lukaku when we announced that a preliminary agreement for Varane was sorted, and yet they've finished Lukaku before we have Varane. It's all very strange. Once again we are incapable of getting people in early when it is so important to do so. |
