Greenwood is such a talent. Everything he does is so smooth. I honestly think we shouldn't replace Cavani (or only replace him with a back up) as Greenwood is just too good to not start centrally.
(I'll make an exception if Haaland is a possibility.)

McTominay has had a good game. Fred has been decent too.
James the only real let down so far. Wasted at least three decent chances. Pogba missed that giant chance but his all round play has been solid and he had a great assist for the goal.

Good first half, dominated and looked dangerous throughout. Same old problem of not capitalising on the dominance though. Should be more than 1 up.

McFred don't have to be world beaters but they do have to "win the midfield" for us to be a challenger. That includes protecting the back 4 and not losing possession when we have it. They don't have to score lots or create lots as long as the creative players are doing their bit.

Preferably McTominay as I think he has more about him. |

If I was coaching Dan James, I would simply advise him to make a decision in his mind, then do the complete opposite of that decision. Ole out, Kojak in.
