My prediction is that in January we'll be close enough that we could probably buy the title via a big CM signing, but we won't even consider it and the board will do surprised Pikachu when we finish third.

I have a feeling that we will do really well in cup competitions this year including the CL. It will be a fun ride, but I doubt we make a sustained challenge on the league title with Ole and that midfield.

I think it will be a Southgate situation in the cups. If we get a favourable draw we will go pretty far but as soon as we come up against one of the big clubs with Ole as our manager we will fall short.
Our record against the other big 6 teams last season was absolutely atrocious. Varane and Ronaldo will go some way towards correcting that. But a lot of it is a result of our pedestrian midfield and Ole's tactics and game management.

One of Lingard or Martial have to leave in Jan or next summer, their chances will be supremely limited when Rasher gets back. If they have any motivation or drive as footballers they should be asking to leave.

There is no doubt another team in the league would be getting a good player that will add value. |

I say this with caution but...Pogba has been better as the calibre of players around him has improved. Bruno and Cavani and now Ronaldo (with Sancho once he settles) are 3 top players with incredible desire to win. If he signs a new deal I don’t see him coasting due to those guys being there. |
