Probably get Aaron Ramsey for no reason on loan with seconds to spare.
As a side note, Dembele to PSG said to be off.

Give him some sort of prove it deal, loan with an option to buy, something we can get out of etc. Barca are practically giving him away at this point. Since yesterday our forward options are now desperately stretched and the season is about to get very busy. We now have 3 players for 2 wide positions which is asking for trouble.

Would not be surprised if Dembele on loan happens. I don't really see any downsides to it, he's evidently good when fit and we aren't exactly blessed with options right now, especially given the Greenwood situation, so a loan with the option to buy could suit all parties.

I think Ralf's intention is to introduce Hannibal, not saying that's the answer, although it would be good to see him get minutes, just going on the fact he's name dropped him a couple of times, added to the fact Lingard will probably be staying now too.

Very worrying we are doing nothing this January. Martial and Donny are out on loan which reduces our squad depth. Cavani is fantastic but injury prone. Matic is past it but Ralf still feels compelled to use him because of the lack of quality in our midfield. Greenwood is under a cloud and it will have an impact on his game. And we are still in three competitions and face a real battle for top 4.

We really are a fucking joke...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sky Sports' Anton Toloui in Manchester:
"Jesse Lingard is the most interesting because it hasn't quite been ruled out that he might not be a Man United player by the end of the day.
"He's out of contract at the end of the season, there has been lots of Premier League interest. Newcastle have put in the most interest so far, they've put bids on the table.
"But United want his wages paid and a loan fee paid as well and some clubs are put off by that because he's out of contract and has no intention of staying at Man United pat the summer.
"There is a deal that can be done if clubs are willing to pay that.
"As for Dean Henderson, Ralf Rangnick has said he wants to keep him as his No 2, so at the moment, there doesn't appear to be any offers on the table for him to leave on loan.
"Phil Jones is staying as well. He turned down interest from Bordeaux over the weekend and Donny van de Beek is having his medical at Everton.
"Sources inside the club tell us that as the market stands at the moment, incomings are unlikely. But you never know if the market moves, what may happen."

‘Ralf is happy to work with the players he already has. Great bunch of lads. Delighted we’re back in fourth and cut City’s lead at the top to a manageable 63 points. Pogba coming back fresh from his 14 month injury is like a new signing. Hannibal has really impressed for Tunisia. Also like a new signing. Phil Jones is like a new signing. Jesse Lingard held talks with Ralf and is like a new signing. Albeit one on loan for 6 months until he leaves. Elanga has bolstered the forward options. We now have serious options out wide, ready to cope with fixture pile up and injuries. Rashford, Elanga, Sancho, Martial and Greenwood are the envy of- sorry what? What do you mean? Are you fucking serious? Ehm. Hold on... We’ve invested in our youth setup, really paying dividends. Building for the future as well, as now. Poch wanted to keep the whole budget for the summer and a real crack at the Europa Conference League. That would make us the only club with the full set. Up yours Liverpool’

Well now that the young shit stain’s career is over, it seems we may need another right sided attacker unless we’re confident Shoretire is at the level where he can start making an impact now. Also for those who watch the U-23s, how have Hugill and McNeil been progressing? I have no faith the club will do anything to address the major holes in our squad when I read this morning that the “club is resigned to the fact we need 1 quality midfielder”. One!? We definitely need 2 arguably 3 if Pogba and VDB depart this summer.

We’re currently 4th. The owners have no reason to sweat just yet. Let’s face it they were quite happy to continue as before after we got smashed by Liverpool so I see no reason for them to act yet.

Martial Amad Donny Greenwood (fucking tool)
3 first team squad members and a youngster who could have stepped in if need arose. And that’s just as of now. How is this a sound strategy? The minute that news broke yesterday Utd needed to react with speed, particularly as we’d just let Amad join Martial on loan. An injury to say Sancho or Rashford (who is injury prone) and we are fucked basically. The idea of a window is to come out of it at the least as strong (ideally stronger) as you went in. So on this very basic level, we’ve failed. Yet again.
