14 years since West Ham beat us at Old Trafford. Another record broken.

It would have been City in the next round so we wouldn't have got much further anyway!
But Ole's persistence with 4-2-3-1 is really beginning to piss me off, he doesn't try anything different, the movement is non existent up front and we have fuck all control in midfield, as everyone else has pointed out on many occasions during games, no one knows exactly what it is we're trying to do. With Klopp, Tuchel, Pep, Brenden, Potter etc you can see the system and players are bought in to suit that system, haven't a fucking clue what ours is.
And his comments last night, didn't really pick the right words did he, i'm not going to call him names, he's still a ledge in my eyes but he's taken this team as far as he can , he's done well to steady the ship etc. but he won't take us that next step that is needed.

Why even both posting shite like this. He's 21, had never played in the PL before and because of a big fee, you're expecting him to instantly hit the ground running. There are much more pressing issues than a kid who's played a grand total of 327 minutes for us. he’s not some kid from Spain or Italy he’s English and has spent a few years overseas.as I’ve said he needs a run of games and I’m not writing him off by any any means but he needs to knuckle down. And what does that matter? He's never played in the PL. Whilst he may settle into his surroundings quicker, it's still a completely different and harder league and being English doesn't mean that's instantly overcome. Either way, I'd get on the phone to Ole and ask him to pass on your message to him about knuckling down.

Oh, we're still being over critical of Sancho?
Good.

Sancho hasn’t has a preseason, he’s being played out of position and in an entirely ineffective formation. The levels of coaching are probably far below those at BVB. Cut the kid some slack, we know whose fault this is.

Don't think any of us touched on it last night but another defo penalty denied again last night with Noble pulling down Jesse, Klopp's moan last season still having an affect on the referee's! why Ole isn't kicking up a right fuss over it is beyond me, he should be angry as fuck, instead he'll smile and pass comment of some sort but why is he not highlighting in on stronger fashion

Top Reds love nothing better than trying to draw comparison with him & SAF would SAF have stood in front of the media last night & said the lads give it a go & we are just not very good at breaking down low block sides, would he fuck & not even Moyes would have come out with such pathetic drivel.

Lets look at that comparison. SAF appointed nov 86 ole appointed dec 18 so ole is now in the August 89 stage of the SAF reign who won his first trophy in the 1989-1990 season(2021-2022 for ole or this season) as said ole has to win something as 1. he didn’t have to overhaul the whole setup and 2. football is far less patient these days.

Without a trophy,Ronaldo is the final nail in the OGS coffin & realistically the FA Cup is the only thing he might get lucky with now.

Ole saying I can't ask for more from the lads they had a good go, is basically what I tell our 5 year olds at football practice, and one of us is the Manchester United manager.

How many games did he play in England before he left for Germany? Havertz looked absolutely lost this time last year. He’s one of the best players in the league now. What happened I wonder?

Martial should have been sent packing two years ago its like playing with 10 men he wont slide in for a ball across the box you can see him giving up and slowing his run before the ball even gets there and Ole doesent have the know how or coaching skills to put these problems right.

Cut the kid some slack, we know whose fault this is. He’s not being played out of position. He can, and has, played on the left and the right very effectively. You are right though, he does need to be cut some slack. Can’t just expect a young lad to instantly adapt to the Premier League, regardless of the fee. Most players in general struggle coming over from Germany, especially the younger ones.
