Thought it would be better to comment on the game as a whole after a night's pause.
We're still largely the same to be honest. Got a win thanks to a wondergoal and the GOAT. Not much else to it, apart from a win is a win.

For an hour or more, we simply didn't play and Villarreal should have been a few goals up at HT had Dave not rescued us. It's great to win because we needed the result but things need to change quickly else all will be over by Xmas. If Villarreal had someone like Ronaldo, they would have won that game 4-0, that's how bad we were. It wasn't as bad as the young boys game but it wasn't far off it. |

It was not a good enough performance , but having said that we were missing 3 of our preferred back 4 and Ole's changes did help to win the match.

Just watched the highlights back on BT Sport, we literally did nothing of any note until Telles scored, they should have been 2 up by half time. Grateful for the win but the performance again was pretty dire on the whole.

They should have been out of sight at half time as they just cut right through us with ease and if we had played any top side we would have took a pasting. Dalot was utter shite and they knew it and targeted him. I lost count of the amount of times MCT had the ball and just didn't find that pass to greenwood or sancho. It looks like Bruno(last year) and Ronaldo(this year) are pulling ole out of the shit game after game(on multiple forums you get posts saying that it's the armchair fans that are mainly calling for ole's head but the all the comments on here and other forums about in game management,subs,Mcfred etc.etc. where being repeated all around where i was seated) At the end of the day we need an urgent upgrade at RB,CMx2 and Manager. |
