Don't worry chaps Steve Bruce is said to be ‘very keen’ to speak to Manchester United about becoming interim manager following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal. Solskjaer was sacked on Sunday morning following a dismal run of results that culminated in a 4-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road on the weekend. United confirmed in their statement following Solskjaer’s sacking that they wish to appoint an interim manager, before making a long-term appointment this summer. Options are relatively thin on the ground, with Zinedine Zidane said to have rejected the role and Laurent Blanc tied up in a role in Qatar. Kebab and chips, all round for the squad. Fantastic! 😂

Really don't know who the right guy is for United, one thing is for sure no one will ever run the club like Fergie did from top to bottom, those days are gone, football on the pitch has moved on and we've failed to go with it. We need a modern day "COACH" with fresh ideas and experienced back room staff! We then need a DOF with pedigree to bring the correct players in for the coach and the system he wants to implement (please do not let that be 4-2-fuckin-3-1).
Anyway, the Glazers are in charge with their accountant cronies so fear not, i'm sure they'll get it done!

If it's poch, like what has already been said we need to make it happen now, I know the reports are saying he wants to wait until the summer, but we need to be telling him it's now or never, get 6 months under his belt, implement a style and hopefully we will be able to have a real go next year, a season that started with so much promise with signings has just been wasted once again.

Agree the Fergie thing will never happen again.
But we need to get away from this situation where we swing from extremes and each managerial regime finishes with a lot of deadwood, a demoralized and unmotivated squad and a huge mess for the next manager to sort out.
Ole is deluded if he thinks he left the club better off. He's made a defense that cost over £200 million to assemble look like a Sunday league back line. I really don't think he has improved any of our players. Rashford and Greenwood would have improved whoever the manager was and I think Rashford has actually regressed a bit as Ole did a terrible job managing his injury situation. Bruno was amazing from the word go but he's also been burned out by Ole. Ole couldn't get a song out of Pogba. He's completely wasted talent like Donny and Sancho. McFred is a joke. Axel is out on loan. Dalot is rotting on the bench.
I am also convinced that Ole benefited massively from how well schooled our players were under Louis and Jose which meant that he could get away at first with very little effective coaching while seeing a benefit from loosening the shackles and letting players express themselves more. But you can clearly see now that our players and team is massively undercoached and that goes to show in the total lack of organization, inability to string passes together, and general dissarray.
I expect to see a MASSIVE improvement quite quickly after any reputable coach takes over. And that will confirm once and for all that Ole was utterly hopeless. Much as we saw the same thing happen at Chelsea who improved leaps and bounds after Lampard was sacked and Tuchel took over.

Think some of us might accept 12th on the basis that there would also be reports of Keane offering the whole squad a settler in the car park. But yeah, obviously on a serious note you don’t want Roy Keane as your manager. Think you made good points on Poch. People who talk about him and Rogers winning crap trophies that don’t matter may also find themselves spouting about what a great job José did in his first season. Seems that as you say, people make up their mind and refuse to change it. I never used to like Rogers, thought at the time he was completely finished when he left Liverpool. But I’ve come round on him now. I think I’m less worried about who we bring in because I’m expecting it to be a failure regardless. I’m pretty calm on this situation.

We're gonna be linked with so many managers but the three today...
Keane - no. Dressing room yes, manager no.
Pochetino - please just no.

Southgate signs a new contract.
So that’s one nightmare scenario averted.

Poch is one of the best coaches available to us. He has to be in the running. The only one that isn't mentioned is Simeone, who is on par with that lot.
