Reports say that RR was on the clubs radar to replace Jose. if that’s the case appointing ole was even more of a brain dead decision than first thought. Correct me if I'm wrong, Fergie had a lot to do with the appointment of Ole? and moyes. its an old one but this can be used again when the board are deciding who was going to replace ole.

Fergie isn't a saint and doesn't love Manchester United. For him Manchester United was just a vehicle for him to achieve glory and success. He had little incentive for his successors to succeed. In fact their failure just makes him look even greater. You can see that in his resistance to Jose's appointment and his tolerance of Ole's ineptitude even stepping in to try and save his job after the Liverpool defeat.
Rangnick is FINALLY the right guy to take us forward. In the short term he will sort us out and get our season back on track. In the long term he will work on improving the structure of the club....especially player recruitment, coaching set up etc. to lay the foundations for long term success and reduce the key man risk so that like Chelsea we can win trophies even as we chop and change managers because the days of managers spending 5, 10, 20 years at a club are long gone.

Has he been spotted anywhere? Waiting for the work permit + has to isolate and have a negative test. Might not be on the bench against Arsenal.

I generally enjoy your posts and most of the time you make decent points but that first paragraph makes me question your sanity...

I have to admit, I thought this thread will reach about 100 pages before we appoint anyone.

Basically saying 'come and get me'.
But...
Do we have it in us to make 2 right decisions in succession?
