I would take Ten Hag, but that would require a whole installation of a new philosophy and the guidance of a van der Saar figure to make it work, so it will never happen. I would take Luis Enrique, but he’s about to win another World Cup so it will not happen. Zidane is, IMHO, underrated as a coach. He won three successive CLs, and made a profit on transfers whilst he did so. Also Varane and CR7 live him. And he’s free. Seems like a no-brainer. We can all chip in and get his wife a few Selfridge’s gift vouchers to keep her happy. I’ve worked in both Madrid and Paris and there is nothing for Manchester to be ashamed off, unless you’re a knobhead. he has managed other clubs other than Ajax so this makes no sense. you could use that argument for literally every single other manager Ah yes. The mighty Go Ahead Eagles and Utrecht. I stand corrected. BTW that wasn’t even remotely my point. I was just saying that Ajax has a unique, integrated philosophy around how football should be played and Ten Hag has totally bought into the philosophy of playing football in a Rinus Michels way. There are some really good books around that philosophy and how it affected the development of football tactics.

How the fuck does Carrick get the interim job after he’s been sat next to Ole during games ? he obviously thinks similar or was he just sat there saying nothing when it blatantly wasn’t working?

Ajax wont let him leave mid season , we will still need a decent interim manager they would if they were compensated with enough cash. its all down to the penny pinching owners Crazy talk !

What a bellend Gary Neville is. Honest to God felt like Carragher has been doing more for this club than Neville as a pundit. He believes his own hype now. Rather than talk sense I get the impression he is trying too hard to sound clever and put forward arguments that have little merit. This, he's in love with his own voice. Carracher is looking in at the club like rest of us and it's fucking obvious but Neville just has to be different. I'm well off Gary now.

Samuel luckhurst has put it out there and now hope all others follow suit, a decision has to be made on the captaincy.

I like Carrick as a player and I hope to be proved wrong but how the heck can him, McKenna and Phelan be trusted to hold the fort? Unless Ole totally disregarded their wisdom I am confused as to how the people that did the coaching (we know Ole didn’t) get a pass.
Team lacked cohesion and that is also Down to coaching

Well Carrick has a couple of days to turn that shitshow round, a top manager would find that hard so expecting a miracle from Mick is a monumental ask.

Part of me would be interested in Blanc coming in just to see what he makes of Maguire. Blanc was commanding, a monster in both boxes, and could play a bit but knew his limitations. Exactly the player Harry thinks he is. I'd love to see the look on Blanc's face when old first-touch-of-a-shire-horse-acceleration-of-an-oil-tanker slab head tries to dribble past someone on the edge of his box.

Ronaldo has to be given the captaincy. It's a no brainer. No other player at the club commands half the respect he does.
