Was just going to say Paul Parker, he's the one who seems unafraid to actually tell it like it is. Although, he did also just say this which is going to divide opinion - “If you bring in Declan Rice, within 12 months, he’s your captain, without a shadow of a doubt,” Well that's him out then. He also said, bring Bellingham as well as Rice and you have a title winning midfield He might be right with that, with Bruno in there as well as a midfield 3, that wouldn't be bad at all! all pipe dreams though

Bruno attack and goals, Bellingham box to box ability with goals, Rice sit and dictate. It's perfect really, costs will mean it likely does not happen.

Declan middle of the road Rice is not part of any "dream" midfield. We are not 2000s Liverpool FFS.

I think we'll start to see more links with Amorim as the season goes on. Very highly thought of and will likely be the next modern manager that everyone starts to crave.

Bestie, if the price is right and when i say right i mean up to £70 million, its very likely the club will try and make the deal happen unless the new manager kicks off. It's one of those things i have just made peace with. Stew mentioned Ndidi but honestly we just don't do business that clever and unless he has a year or 2 left on his contract we will get our pants pulled down for £90 million. Personally I like Bissouma, he has another 2 levels in him, knows the league very well. If the alleged incident can get cleared up then for me that is who we should get. £40 Million and change to get another player, probably Neves who i expect will carry an attractive £30-35 million price tag in the summer.

This seems like a fantastic idea. Good to see some blue sky thinking for once.

This seems like a fantastic idea. Good to see some blue sky thinking for once. Makes total sense considering that’s the position in football he’s been most successful… just get ten hag ffs

How about, this time, we actually stick to a plan. I know it's crazy, but it just might work.

Seems like we are heading towards making the same mistake as last time. A turnaround under new management is almost a cliche in football. And it is even more likely when you replace someone like Ole with no coaching ability or tactical awareness whatsoever with a seasoned coach like Ralf.
The proper approach is to draw up a shortlist (which includes Ralf) and make an assessment at the end of the season.
If Ralf manages to get us into the top 4 and get to the quarters or semis in the Champions League and FA Cup and just as importantly improve dressing room harmony and get the players working hard on and off the pitch and buying into his ideas then he will be a strong candidate.
But I think there are many of the same issues we had with LVG (who at times also looked like he would be a success). He is too old school which modern players don't respond well to, his philosophy is a bit outdated and while it influenced the likes of Klopp etc they all updated it and we will never be able to bring in enough players to make it work properly, and his CV is mostly built around overachieving in the German league with smaller clubs than us without all the big names. We have already seen he has struggled quite a bit with quite an easy fixture list as there are no pushovers in the Premier League.
I would be keener on someone like Mancini (Premier League proven, used to big name players, plays great football, did wonders with the Italian National team) or Ten Hag (progressive, modern, can only get better)

This seems like a fantastic idea. Good to see some blue sky thinking for once. Football’s been shite, none of the players respect him, mutiny via constant leaks to the press, no backing in the window. Aye, can’t see any other option other than keeping him on as manager. Sound logic.
