The players and the club really don't seem to have any respect for Ralf. hes an interim. no1 will as they know they can say and act however they want as its not going to effect them. especially Lingard when he leaves in the summer. hes the football equivalent of a substitute teacher and the players are just waiting for term time to be over to go on holiday. |

Appears to me, like Ralf is throwing the players, he believes are responsible for throwing 2 managers under a bus, under the same bus before they do it to someone else whilst he's involved in the club.

The fact that the board wouldn’t shell out 6 million Euro for Zakaria says all you need to know about his position. As said before, I’m sure he’s having serious doubts as to whether he bothers staying past the summer when it seems completely pointless.

If he stays it is for the money. £8M a year isn't bad and while he is admired in the game he isn't exactly highly in demand for managerial jobs.
But yeah it beggars belief that with us sitting outside the top 4 the Board refuse to splash the cash using the weak excuse that Ralf is only a temporary manager. Ole was allowed to splash hundreds of millions with zero track record. Ralf has proven himself to be a savvy operator in the transfer market and has fantastic contacts in the game so especially for such a modest outlay we should trust that whoever he wants to sign in January will improve the squad and benefit the next manager.
Ralf wants to play a 4-3-3. But the only player capable of anchoring the midfield is Matic who no longer has the legs. It is a pathetic situation to be in. But I guess that is what happens when you are run by people who know nothing about football and hate spending money.

Fair point i suppose, why respond at all, if he has a problem with it speak to Ralf rather than trying to undermine your manager in public. Who in the club told Jesse to take time off then i wonder, clearly it wasn't Ralf as he was under the impression Jesse asked for it. Personally i don't see what the big deal is, i would have had no issue with Jesse taking some time as no doubt he would have been well hacked off after that window! |

I don't believe for one second he lied in regards to Martial and in this case I believe he has said it as it is. We all know Lingard wanted out, he didn't get the move and probably got no guarantees that he would get playing time, it would be upsetting to most. As i have said before, If I am Rangnick I'd get in Sancho's ear and head, make him feel the love, work with him as we need him massively now. These players have such a pathetic attitude it beggars belief |

Obviously Ralf stands to make more money than he's ever seen in his life for a part-time gig. Now, whether Woowar wasn't keen to sign off on anything when he knew he was pissing off at the end of the month has to be a consideration, no? It looks like RR has a good relationship with Darren Fletcher, who in turn, works well with Murtough. If the talk about Arnold leaving football to the football people is true, we could finally see us turn a corner, especially if Ralf stays on, focuses the scouting network on certain profile of player, we could be a force again. But, it's the hope that kills ya. |

Not Woodward, not 'January tax', not 'the right players weren't available'.
I'm not having it. Ralf needed to lay down a marker at the beginning of the window and he made excuses instead. Standard Glazer cost-cutting.

He was told the club needed to get players out to get him what he needed. HE authorised the departures on a few players (more than we let go of) so that he could get what he wanted.
