So now he's said top four is an achievement. Fuck this experiment. So much for this club needing to win trophies. Looks like Ralf is just here for the ride. Meh, it's like when Mourinho said that being second with us was his greatest achievement. I think Mourinho was saying that as a dig at the club/Woodward. Rangnick just seems to be continuing the Solskjaer line of eroding standards and lowering expectations. We were told this was the season we pushed into a genuine title challenge, remember? Then when Ralf arrived he said "The DNA of this club is winning". Already we're back to accepting fourth rubbish? *Vomit.* |

Again, based on what he's walked in to, which no doubt he cannot believe and didn't expect, he's right in what he's saying, 4th place this season, would be a fucking achievement. We were told by Ole that we should be in the title mix but he royally fucked it up and now Ralf is in to try and steady the ship until the end of the season, i'm not sure what people are expecting from him, should he be saying we're going for the title, he'd be laughed at by all and sundry. |

sadly 4th this season will be a blessing.
The players don't have their heads right (well a few), Greenwood will be a loss, no CDM added.
Say what you want about spurs but with Conte there they have a chance.

I refuse to listen to managers press conferences anymore. It's just one large smoke screen. Just let them get on with the business of buying an selling players. Realistically we need to sell a pile of players to make room for any new ones. |

Ralf is clever, I don't expect him to put out our transfer strategy to the public to mull over. What is likely to happen is that Ralf in good faith will make recommendations to overhaul certain areas of the squad, which the Club will just ignore. Hopefully at that time he will just step down out of self-respect since he is a proper footballing man. |

Take out Ronaldo, Bruno, Varane, DDG, Cavani maybe and some young hungry players coming through like Hannibal and Elanga.
6 from a squad of about 25 is really poor. Even 10 is poor.
Club has to be ruthless in the summer, infact just start now

Salah who just lost a heart breaking final with Egypt tells Klopp he's ready to be selected. Lingard who couldn't fulfill his dream of doing a tiktok video at St. James Park upon signing is too emotionally distraught and a prisoner. Fuck that useless prick. Some supporters turned on Martial before he left, there has to be double or triple of that venom tossed at Lingard. |

Ralf is a company man on a fat salary and angling for the permanent job. He is political enough to realize that saying the squad needs major overhaul (IE spending money) is not going to please the owners.
But we are completely screwed in the summer.
We need to replace our strike force because Cavani is leaving, Ronaldo will probably leave, and Greenwood is suspended indefinitely.
We need to replace our midfield because McFred doesn't cut it at the top level, Pogba is leaving in the summer, and Matic shouldn't be playing this season and definitely shouldn't be playing next season.
And ideally we could use a RB and a CB because AWB has regressed massively and Varane is the only top CB we have.
That sounds like a complete overhaul to me. 2 strikers, 2 midfielders and a defender or two. The cost would be around £200-£300 million.
The reality is we will buy a mediocre midfielder e.g. McGinn and bring Martial back as our number 9
Of course if we had any sense we could have saved a bundle scooping up Zakaria or Kamara in January or at the very least signing them on a pre contract.
