United training ground has been closed due to covid, very much doubt tomorrow nights game will go ahead? Yep, not looking good. Will put the Brighton game at serious risk as well.

Safety first, especially given that the first death has been reported (apparently) from this new Omicron variant.

Short memory. Think he topped 25 goals and assists two years running, team of the season twice. Was brilliant for a stretch. It never ceases to amaze me just how much Nani is undervalued. It's just shameful. He was even good in SAF's last year. Ran circles around Madrid before the (bullshit) red card.

Any word on which players have tested positive?

Typo! although the first one where this new variant has been noted as a factor. ’Plan C’ incoming ,or at ‘B:2’ at least given what the politicians seem to be saying. It will be interesting to see how many on the government benches vote against ‘B’ this week and have to rely on Labour to get it through.

Brentford game off, as was expected.
Can see this playing havoc over the coming weeks, going to be a mad pile up of fixtures again. This is where having a big squad could be massive, so outgoings might very well be limited in Jan as we could need every option we have.

Might not be such a bad thing. Getting battered every week under Ole probably takes a physical and mental toll so having a bit of breathing space as well as time with Ralf (assume even if physical training sessions aren't taking place there is a lot of video coaching going on) could work in our favor.
Also gives a little more time for Varane to make a full recovery because heaven knows we need him in defense.

True but even in that Brazil team Casemiro plays the role we so badly need at Utd. Brazil will get smashed by European teams next year again. Time will tell but that is irrelevant, to get selected from a population of 212 million, roughly 4 times the population of England, you must be a very good footballer. What tactics the manager at the time wants to play affects the resuslts that his team may get, it doesnt mean the players are all rubbish. Fred is a very very good footballer who up until now has been played wrongly by a tactically inept manager for the last 3 years. Lets see what Rangnick can do with him.
