McFred shouldn’t be a thing. They are bench players. They aren't even that good... How can McT go from MOTM one game to absolute crap the next? Such a lack of passion in this "team"... Same with Fred, people were saying he was brilliant and RR's ideal midfielder to begin with, now he's sat on the bench. Both should be squad players at best right now and only highlights how we are severely lacking still in the middle of the park. We majorly need at least two top-quality additions. |

Agreed we need CMs who are capable of running with the ball, last night Matic was constantly dropping in between the two CBs with McTominay barely 10 yards in front of him leaving a massive gap between them and the front 2. That caused Ronaldo and Cavani to drop deep and neither have the pace to charge at defences, they really need to be playing on the shoulder of the last man.

Ddg, varane, Bruno, Sancho, greenwood, any new manager shouod be building the team around them, the rest can pretty much do one, also Jones should be starting every game again until he gets injured again

I know it isn't the point but, for me, Phil Jones can retire at this club if he chooses. Whatever else has gone on with him, not once has he ever phoned in a performance. Thats because he’s one of the very few remaining players who can remember when we had standards. |

McFred shouldn’t be a thing. They are bench players. Agree with that. Fred has decent performances now and again and Scott will score a worldie sometimes but that’s it, zero consistency. Matic is quite clearly past it, Maguire and AWB are clearly not good enough particularly the latter imo. I’ve never got the point of what AWB offers, he’s good in the tackle - so what? I know from reading posts on here some people like Lindelof for instance, he has his positives but he never ever really convinces me, especially in the air, gets bullied constantly. The rest of the squad are as bang average as the players I’ve mentioned. Ronnie is way off it - effectively what I’m attempting to say is that Dave is quite clearly the best player we have yet we’ve conceded 27 goals in the league. The only way that you can see Ralf by some miracle rectifying things is a cull of the squad, getting rid of those who aren’t arsed and bringing better players in. Which quite clearly isn’t going to happen because Arnold and the tight arsed American gimps will have the COVD excuses ready for the January and Summer transfer windows. Also what’s really alarming me is that in comparison to the top six, we don’t score enough goals. Really noticeable how we let games drift. Somebody said just disband the club. All for it if these jokers are still stinking the place out. |

I still believe/hope Rangnick will be a very positive influence on the club going forward from direction and formulating a vision etc. I just still think giving him the head coach job even on an interim basis, with so much issues and so much of the season left was a big mistake.
I think we might still surprise in the cups this year, but we are in for a shite League season and another overhaul of coaching and players from the Summer.
If the owners and Woodward who are to blame completely for all of this , want to help him out now! Then go and buy a decent CM like Neves who is used to the PL and probably get a tune out of Pogba when he is back at least for the end of the season.

The last game against Newcastle he played really well against a team that is totally shite and was playing a 442 with loads of space in MF and let's him get forward and a really weak defence, just like Leeds, which I believe was his last really good game or one of those other shit sides that thinks they can play open football and leaves massive gaps! He is not good enough to play a holding mid or just not suited at this level. He's a squad player who is a decent box to box player, which doesn't really suit us except in some games like that! I said that after the Newcastle game as did others. I really don't know why these scouts, managers, coaches and owners can't see it. We don't have the right mix of skills and mobility from any combination of those CM players McT, Fred, Matic |
