To be fair to McTominay I can stand him more than most players in the squad. My main issue with him is he's limited and shouldn't be a regular starter. In a good squad with quality senior players around him I think he'd be a real asset but we don't need good squad players, we effectively need a new starting midfield.

If we had Scholes, Keane and Butt here then McTominay wouldn't be an issue, he'd get the odd rare start now and again, alongside a far better player to help him out, and really just be a filler. But starting week in week out, and being mentioned as the captain? Jesus Christ. Not his fault of course, but bloody hell it highlights the deficiency in the team. |

It’s a couple of hours later and I still am dumbfounded that Rashford didn’t bother his arse to go follow up that chance and try to score. Jesus wept. This squad really are a bunch of entitled wankers. You guys are correct, they’ll fucking revert to type and predictably bottle it at Villa Park on Saturday. Can you imagine Keano’s reaction if he was still playing with Rashford not going for the ball like that? Marcus would be picking up some of his teeth from the dressing room floor and I think Roy would be still spontaneously combusting with rage. If you’re not going to try then fuck off out of the club. I think he could be done here. Something is definitely not right with him. I guess 3 years of not being challenged every day in training and having your back patted regardless of performance has come back in a bad way. Who knew. |
