Why can't we just play a 4-3-3, i know i keep banging on about it but how can you get control of the game only playing 2 midfielders, none of whom are ball players.
De Gea
Dalot/Laird Varane Jones Shaw/Telles
Bruno Scott Donny
Greenwood Cavani/Ronnie Elanga/Rashford
Is it really that hard, have the defence 5 or 10 yards further up the pitch so big gaps don't appear between midfield and defence and from midfield to the forwards, allow Bruno and Donny the freedom to arrive late in the box from midfield.

That midfield will get overrun and carved up. Scot is not really a DM, Bruno is not known for that nor is donny. We are not city where we keep the ball and pass it around nicely and attack all day so really i think you need a DM, a box to box player and an attacking mid in the flat 3 If we are playing a diamond as Rangnick mentioned in the post presser i think you need all three still but then you can get away with maybe 2 attacking mids so far as one is intelligent enough to know when to push up and when to drop back or when to simply sit (incoming donny). My big issue with the diamond as Rangnick mentioned is that we have a few winger/forwards so what happens to them?

Not quite sure where this praise came from last night for McT ,Dion Dublin described his two most recent displays for the club as incredible ffs.

You have to wonder what they are watching at times,it was another embarrassment last night, performance wise every bit as bad as Wolves.

Swerving Conte looking like another great master stroke then ? Ah well , at least the Glazers will have to forfeit their CL cash , unless we do a Tuchel.

Ha, completely forgot about Sancho too, that's how much he's been lighting the place up obviously. Look, i'm not saying that should be THE line up, you can switch that up how you like but bottom line is we get overrun like fuck, the midfield needs to be improved but for now you could play a 3 in there and get more balance and be able to transition better from the back to front. And with the cart horse Maguire not at the back then you should be able to play further up the pitch. I've also noticed recently how shit slow we are, where has the pace gone? and we're quite often outmuscled in the 50/50's etc. There's so much wrong with it all but at least set a formation out that will at least allow some semblance of control. If that means leaving certain players out to suit the formation then so be it, maybe some will get a jolt by realising they have to fight for their spot (doubtful i know)

I dont think formation is the issue anymore , 4231 is good enough and fits most of our players , we just need to get 2 quality players who can play the 2 man midfield.
Main issue is our players lack of fitness and their pathetic attitude. Slightest hint of trouble and they down tools.

Yes but while we haven't got those 2 quality midfielders then 4-2-3-1 doesn't work, we saw it every game in the recent past under Ole and again last night, and with us not being likely to make any decent signings this window then for me, the formation has to change, we have to match teams up in midfield. 100% agree about shit attitudes and poor fitness, wankers!

Gotta say, last night was Varane's best United performance so far. Proper Rolls Royce type stuff at times.
