new manager will come in summer. will need time to figure out what players he wants and doesnt want. club wont have enough time to make signings that are required. manager gets sack after 8 months. repeat cycle.

It actually made more sense to do some business in this window because it will be harder next summer when we are playing in the UEFA cup or whatever the fuck it's called these days

I'm confident that if fans just stopped going, and the empty stadium optics were burned onto TV viewers, these scum-sucking parasites would be moved to act. I wouldn't ask fans to cause unrest again like last year because it's not fair to ask someone to face prosecution if I'm not there myself to do the same.
Just stop going. Stop buying. Stop talking about them on social media(another metric they place higher than club success).
These may yield something I imagine.

For the love all that's holy, can any Glazer stuff be left out of the transfer thread. It's like a broken record every window.

The broken record of getting hopes up with rumors every other day and getting them obliterated at the end of the window? Everything with this club is a broken record and the glazers tie into literally every fucking aspect of transfers so what do you want to be left out here?

Change to the title thread since the new manager is probably more important.
And on the new manager, it's looking more and more like it's going to be Pochettino, which for me, is so underwhelming. I'm very much in the Erik ten Hag group. It's just more exciting.

I've muted the Glazer thread because everything that can be said about them has been. I don't need it bleeding onto a thread I actually do peruse.

Well they're part of transfers, the actual most important part of it because nothing happens without their say so. Saying you want to separate them from transfer talk is like saying you want to separate sugar from honey with a fork or something.

Ten Hag looks like the type of manager you'll regret not getting early on.

Moyes had the coat tails of Fergie, van Gaal and Jose were genuie best in the world names, and Ole at least had the legendary player in our most successful period status. We can ignore interims. Pochettino, in real terms, is a nobody. No real trophies, no consistent track record of actual success anywhere. All hype and zero substance when it counts. We're finished.

I wouldn't agree with that negativity on Pochettino, but don't want to get into that debate again! Anyway I don't think that's a foregone conclusion If Erik ten Hag forces their hand by bloody winning the CL or getting to the final then there is a huge swell of support for him! I would personally prefer an aggressive move for Conte, who could easily be brought in from Spurs. The absolute shite that these clowns seem to swallow about Conte not being a good fit for us makes me laugh. The real fact is they are afraid to bring in somebody like that who speaks their mind

Our elite status ended when Zidane would rather manage PSG than us. All the managers who tick your box are either employed at big clubs or past their sell by date. We need to stop hitching our cart to a Messiah manager and realise the club is broken. In its current state, you'd need to be outstanding to succeed here. I believe if Klopp was available he wouldn't take this job. I still think Ralf can help us turn things around but i'm not convinced he will be given the power to really enact lasting change. Doing zero business in this window is a bad sign for me. There were good players available especially in midfield positions who will only be harder to sign in the summer. If we finish 4th with this lot, then you'd have to be content with that.

Ten Hag and Enrique would be my top 2 choices. I’ve been underwhelmed with Poch since his move to PSG and failure to get them playing at the level where they look like genuine champions league contenders. The club will take the easy route and appoint Poch and we’ll regret it the moment we see Ten Hag or Enrique at city.
