2x midfielders (both CDM’s) MCT & Fred can go box to box but ideally I’d want kessie replacing Fred. Hannibal and Bruno can create. 1x striker as Cavani will be gone and probably best Martial is sold. Ronaldo alone at 37 is not enough by any stretch. 1x cb Varane really needs a proper dance partner. Happy for Jones and bailly and lindelof to be sold. Hate him or like him Maguire is going nowhere in the summer unless a silly bid comes in, we know no one is that daft.
Rb, give laird a chance and keep dalot, AWB to go on loan and get some form so he can be sold. Lb, sell Williams, keep Shaw and telles. Fernandez to go on loan, high hopes for him. GK, Henderson on loan
Whichever way we look at this, midfield and striker is a priority that needs sorting before pre season or we are stuffed. Time should not be wasted on Haaland as it’s not happening.

I don't know if they have forward planning. I suppose there is some, but we will certainly find out in the summer. But forward planning is not signing a few flavour of the month players or somebody because you can get them on the cheap. Anyway, signing players on a "free" isn't that cheap either, because they can demand huge wages and a signing-on fee. And then you end up in a situation where a new manager comes in, they don't want them and you can't get rid of them. You know, just like now. Or, a prime example, Ramsey. Besides, how many players that have contracts expiring in 5 months have arleady signed somewhere else. The number must be really close to zero. So maybe you identify the players you really want, and you know they will only be available in the summer, so you wait until then and don't sign somebody you don't want meanwhile, but hope that McTominay can fill in adequately, as you're realistically not winning the CL anyway. So if that is the forward planning, such behaviour is a sign that they in fact are planning forward and not just panicking again. I don't know if they are capable of such planning now, but I can't rule it out based on not signing anybody this window. Never mind this window. Has there been anything over the last 6 years to suggest any sort of plan? There are good players on that list, that are free. They’re not flavours of the month, bar maybe Dybala. But what’s going to happen is we’ll piss about trying to get a new manager in, which will no doubt take an age. Then with our options in market dwindling, we’ll shell out 100 million for that plodder Rice. It’s inevitable. Sure, not been a great 6 years. But surely even they can learn something over time. The approach is already different than when Woodward rode into town promising to slpash cash everywhere. Last summer they got Sancho and Varane in, for reasonable prices, so there are signs of imrovement. As for Rice, if we don't shell out, probably City or Chelsea will, and then people will complain why we let him go there.

“Midfield overhaul” to the pricks running this club means bringing in one midfielder despite the fact we’re losing Pogba, possibly VDB and Matic barely being able to play every week. We need 2 possibly 3 midfielders this summer. We could’ve had Zakaria, Kessie or Kamara instead we seem to be prioritizing Rice and Phillips. We’re an absolute fucking joke. Even when we can save money by getting players like Zakaria on the cheap, we fuck it up.

If he turns out to be worth it in the end is another discussion but we paid a top price for him.

Ten Haag wouldn't last a crack here unless he has the backing to rebuild everything. Ajax is a harmonious club in comparison to united The dream team of ten Hag, Edwin and Overmars definitely has the potential of giving me a long lasting erection. Speaking of Overmars and long lasting erections: Marc Overmars has left his role as Ajax director of football after admitting he sent inappropriate messages to female colleagues at the club. The former Arsenal and Netherlands winger had been in his post since 2012, and recently signed a new contract until 2026. However, after reports broke in the Netherlands that he has been sending sexually inappropriate messages to colleagues, he has been quick to resign.

Brendan Rodgers should never be a coaching candidate for us.
But I think it's nailed on he's among their considerations.

Lord knows, witnessed something last week at work that made me want to throw up. Completely sickening behaviour.
