Like Van Gaal, Ralf has made us more organised and at least to appear to be less likely to concede stupid goals. Unfortunately also like Van Gaal, we’re tedious to watch and we cannot seem to create anything for a sustained period. Whoever the next manager is, we need to seriously upgrade our attacking. After the first 20 minutes, you knew exactly how that game was playing out, bar a wonder-goal or a Watford error. Unfortunately it wouldn't surprise me if Ralf is still incharge next season, especially if it's true poch has rejected us, I also can't see ten Haag joining this shower, it then doesn't leave many options, ralf carrying on? Fletcher getting the role, Rodgers is probably still in the boards thinking, we are fucked to a point this will take years and years to fix

Never should have signed him as I said but got flack for months ago. No where near the level he was and is only going to be a problem for the new manager. You may have said it months ago but you're still wrong. In two thirds of a season he's outed Solskjaer and looks like he's putting serious pressure on Maguire. He scored thirty-six goals and had four assists last season. Suddenly he's finished? Bullshit. Even if he is not as influential on the pitch his demands for standards have been desperately needed since Mourinho, and Zlatan, left. i think signing him for just 2 seasons was a good idea but relying on him is not(even though that’s not his fault). saying that he has gone to shit lately.

What is there to suggest that he 'outed Solskjaer' or is putting pressure on Maguire? And it's not wrong either, my post was purely based on his performances on the pitch and it's true. Stats from last season mean nothing this season. We shouldn't be paying someone close to £500k/w to improve standards. And on that note, it's not made a great deal of difference this season has it?

Ronaldo arrives - Ole finally gets sacked when he should have gone literally years ago. Maguire, who has been immovable from the XI and captaincy, has not only been left out more than once but his captaincy is actually being questioned. To be replaced by Ronaldo. Plus all the blatant counter-briefs against him from the usual suspects. It's clear there has been a shift in expectations within the squad. Stats from last season show that even in a side coached by a complete novice out of his depth with better players Ronaldo was capable of producing elite numbers. So are his poor stats this season down to him, or down to the massive drop in quality around him. Who is our top scorer? What do you want, a goal every game with our supporting cast? And his wages are irrelevant.

We had enough chances yesterday to show his tactics are working but the finishing was absolutely terrible. Unfortunately the unforeseen events of that prick from Bradford have stretched us to the limit with our attacking options. We need two attackers this summer along with 2 midfielders.

And his wages are irrelevant. You're backing up a point purely with assumptions. I don't want a goal every other game, I just don't want consistently dire performances. I guess the supporting cast will no doubt be the blame for that though. Anyway, it is what it is, he's here for the rest of the season at least and he'll continue to play given our lack of other options. We'll see whether the new manager thinks he's still got it next season.

Must be a record low, 24 hours after a league game, 5 pages in a matchday thread.. I was even slightly apprehensive about posting this, as it might tip it into the halcyon heights of page 6

Likewise Maguire. We never, ever, had the sort of legitimate criticism of Maguire until this season. With all the briefs I don't believe it is a stretch.

Guaranteed we won’t fully address any of the needs in the squad either. We’re so fucking useless as a football club now.

This cunting team has been shit for 18 months prior to Ronaldo's arrival, he alone can't change it but he can definitely be the commanding dressing room presence than we need.
