You're backing up a point purely with assumptions. I don't want a goal every other game, I just don't want consistently dire performances. I guess the supporting cast will no doubt be the blame for that though. Anyway, it is what it is, he's here for the rest of the season at least and he'll continue to play given our lack of other options. We'll see whether the new manager thinks he's still got it next season. Ronaldo being dire has more to do with us dragging him to our level than the reverse. This cunting team has been shit for 18 months prior to Ronaldo's arrival, he alone can't change it but he can definitely be the commanding dressing room presence than we need. Who is the brave soul who’s going to create the next match day thread. I think it’s clear many on here would be happy losing to city if it will damage the scousers title hopes. Can we just end this season already?

Like Van Gaal, Ralf has made us more organised and at least to appear to be less likely to concede stupid goals. Unfortunately also like Van Gaal, we’re tedious to watch and we cannot seem to create anything for a sustained period. Whoever the next manager is, we need to seriously upgrade our attacking. After the first 20 minutes, you knew exactly how that game was playing out, bar a wonder-goal or a Watford error. Good point , it's very similar now to VG. VG got results against the big teams, so will be interesting to see how we do in March with the big games! I also think we have more options up front and creatively than VG ever had. I honestly can't see this lot getting the results against City and the Dippers. Atletico will have a much stronger team back at OT than we faced there |
