Amazing what doing the right things over time, and doing the wrong things during the same period, looks like.
We’ve spent more money than them (I think) in the post-Ferguson era, in the most idiotic way, and we’re effectively a mid table team that sometimes gets lucky and finishes in a CL spot. They were in the same place 10 years ago, look at them now. Disgusting, but amazing.
It’s going to take many more years until we are where we want to be.

Spent years avoiding a DOF, along with buying players for commercial reasons, continually renewing contracts of dross rather than moving them on and being utterly obsessed with giving managers and players time when all the evidence suggests doing the opposite. However Woodward and Solskjaer need a special mention when it comes to some serious rot treatment. 🤢🤢 |

On Bruno, there’s a broader quote available as opposed to the section which has done the rounds about the difference between us and them. He did go on to say that if you don’t want to compete you should stay out of the team. So that’s slightly more context to the comment we discussed previously.
