On Bruno, there’s a broader quote available as opposed to the section which has done the rounds about the difference between us and them. He did go on to say that if you don’t want to compete you should stay out of the team. So that’s slightly more context to the comment we discussed previously. I was furious reading the excerpt, I listened to the interview and it seemed that his answer didn’t translate with his English it was more of a “just look at the table that’s the difference in quality, we’re not good enough” and less about motivation. With that said, it’s not a defense of anything that happened on the pitch. |

Yeah, I don’t think the full quote absolves him as such, but it does soften the impact of the initial quote that was clipped. On Maguire refusing to be interviewed. As always the most sensible comments come from Ralf. It really does sound like our players are just incapable and unwilling to follow the game plan which doesn't really bode well for Ten Hag. The current squad is simply uncoachable.

Look at how Silva directs the others at Chelsea! This guy is not having a bad season, he is just being exposed for what he really is. I am always sceptical about players that need their hands held, you gotta shine regardless of who is next to you, behind you or in front. |

Didn't exactly do himself any favours with it either but at least he had the stones to do it. See Lingard is coming out with the same "we must to better" speech today. Sooner he fucks off the better aswell. |

I think players need guidance, this has always been the case in football but some of these players are simply hiding because they can't point at the coach anymore. Young players like Elanga, need examples to follow but unfortunately the whole culture is rotten and he's been thrown to the wolves. People really underestimate the importance of good culture in any organisation or sports team. Why are we handing out bumper contracts in the worst season since Ferguson left? Why are players like Jesse and Pogba still at the club? Everything that's happening now is the consequence of making lots of bad decisions over a long period of time and hoping they work out. |
