Fred, I don’t care what anyone says is not the level we need and MCT is a disappointment, expected he’d develop better. Neves and Tielemans immediate upgrade on them all day long. Given the state of the pitch and weather, it was a relief not to get any injuries.
There wasn’t a huge amount of new stuff learnt that we haven’t seen up to this point. The front 3 plus Bruno look sharp, particularly Sancho. Fred will run about but we still badly lack a conductor. If we don’t get FDJ, we bloody well have a serious alternative or we’ll be chasing shadows all year. ETH is also a serious coach, that’s abundantly clear already. We have a plan and we now work hard. The talent levels aren’t where they should be (Lindelof for example is useless) but the days of a free pass against us look to be over.

The club needs to accept FDJ isn't coming and move on, its getting tedious now. Get Tielemans or Neves in, two cheaper options that are familiar to the Premier league and are more than good enough for what we need. We can't afford to go into this season in 2 weeks time with limited options in that role. |
