I have changed mine from 6th to below 8th. I believe we will finish between 14th and 17th.
I haven’t seen one team that played as bad as us this season. This will be the year of 1000 cuts. A painful way to watch the club implode one bad play after another….and I thought that last year would be the most unbearable season to take…

Just had a long chat with my mate, he's been following United since the late sixties. He is also totally at a loss. He was in the scoreboard end when Law back heeled and we got relegated. This team is worse.
This team is worse. WTF.

Great time for a re-assessment and IMO deserves a new thread because so much has changed for the better since the start of the season.
Defence has been fixed and we don't have to worry so much about anything happening to Dalot or Martinez/Varane because AWB has stepped up and Shaw has proven to be more than adequate cover as CB..
Casemiro has fixed midfield. We will be lost without him but he seems quite capable of playing most of our remaining games and isn't injury prone. Eriksen I worry a bit about because he seems to get tired easily and his game time needs managing but hopefully Erik can get Fred playing to a good level to allow us to rotate a bit more. It would be massively helpful if Bruno stepped up and scored more goals. He's been good this season and worked hard for the team but we know he can be a lot more productive in terms of goals and assists.
Attack is the big unknown. If I was Erik I would have lost all confidence in Martial by now and I can see Weghorst being a regular starter for us. So a lot depends on whether he can do a job for us and manage at least half a dozen goals between now and the rest of the season. Rashford is in the form of his life and long may it continue and that massively helps our chances. But would be nice if Antony could do more for us or Sancho could come from the wilderness like AWB and produce some good performances for us.
It would help as well if Barcelona knock us out of the Europa League. It is a second rate competition that even Ole nearly won and we no longer need it to guarantee Champions League football because we are a dead cert for top 4. It is a massivev slog with the play-off round and we will need to play NINE GAMES to win the damn thing. Not to mention the foreign travel. I'd much rather we get knocked out so we can focus on the Premier League and domestic cups. Now we have shown we can beat Manchester City there is no reason why we can't win the FA Cup as well as the League Cup and that would be a great consolation prize if we do not have quite enough in us to win the Premier League this time round.

It’s hard to predict at the moment.
We have improved 10 fold since the start of the season but a few injuries and suspensions to key players could derail us.
At a guess 3-4th in the league + 1 or even both domestic pots.

FWIW I still think City will win it but we are 100% involved in the title race right now. Can see us taking 2nd as I have a feeling Arsenal will go through a rotten run of form.

I never bought into this title challenge stuff because we neither have the firepower or squad depth this season.

To be fair I think as possible as it can happen the title isn't realistic this season (its been a nice thought and exciting over the last few weeks to think about). But we haven't got the squad depth to challenge properly. However top 4 is no excuse now, even a trophy is there for the taking.
A good summer adding top players and next season is where it'll take shape.
