I’d say the lads selling t-shirts and scarves outside OT have put in massive orders of Martinez gear!

Proper bit of grit in him. Love it. I know I am not Maguire's biggest fan but the togetherness of our back four last night must give pause for thought. I loved the high fives and celebration of a block like a goal (about 0:54). Keano was spot on when spitter and Neville talked about Maguire and Shaw coming back into the side - we need a settled back five and the five from last night are it.

They must never start for us again unless they are against really poor teams. Either the pain of rejection makes them perform better, or they fuck off elsewhere. Win win.

Konate, Keita and AOC were also out injured. I wish I shared your optimism there, but ruling them out of challenging for top trophies is premature imo Keita rarely plays and Oxlade-Chamberlain has always been injured trash. Oxlade-Chamberlain, giving me Snake Plissken vibes!

Let’s just hope that the spine is settled, to be made even stronger when ‘Case’ plays, hopefully on Saturday, if his visa gets sorted in time. There’s a ‘delay’ apparently, there’s always a bloody delay! Harold, Shaw et al can and should be used for Europa etc, especially given the obvious (magnificent) spirit they all displayed, and it was obvious that the undemonstrative Keane was really impressed, although he was bang on when he stressed that they had to “back it up” on Saturday-God a bloody early game fuckit! It was (almost) akin to watching them back in the ‘Old Days’ and brought a tear to my glass eye!

The Salah challenge I mentioned early doors is on there, and the one where he leaves one on Diaz, I think, where he wins the foot race, puts the ball into touch, but makes sure the scouse cunt knows he’s been hit.

Know what, I’m a bit pissed so gonna do a little stream of consciousness.
I get the anti Glazer stuff. Genuinely. I’ve marched, I bought shares to try and stop them, I own shares now, in the vein hope they get bought in a takeover. But, there’s also bigger things than football right now. I can’t afford £5 on a bus tk March and not watch a game. And praying g for an empty stadium, whilst admirable, is never practical and going to happen. We need to win the hearts and minds of the lads who’ve not missed a game, pandemic withstanding, for 40 years. Knighton got that ball rolling, bring them into the fold without calling them cunts or Glazer shills. You try giving up a piece of your identity, it’s impossible. So get them onside in more positive pro-active ways.
I really think the next point of protest is getting to the ground early and barricading the megastore and Concourses. Hit that match day revenue, every other week! Why that’s not a thing yet, I don’t know.
Also, imagine wanting us to lose to Liverpool. I’m on record on here, many times saying I never want MUFC to lose a game of football. I want to lose a game of football to Liverpool even less. If you’re an MUFC fan and wanted us to lose you o those cunts last night, have a good long look in the mirror. Because make no mistake, there’s a culture war for our club; but never ever when it comes to backing the team against the fucking enemy.

I don't need to look at myself in the fucking mirror, fuck off. Make no mistake, I want us to lose every single game until the Glazers are gone. A good signing and a good win and the momentum has already been lost. It's a constantly repeating cycle. Poor results/poor showing in the transfer market/no sign of any cohesive plan - anger - protests - good signing/improved results/whatever bullshit that papers over the cracks - loss of protest momentum - back to apathy/inaction. It happens again and again and again. We were so close. We've never been that close. Last night could have been, should have been the spark that lit the gunpowder. But instead everyone is fucking positive and happy-clappy, and that positivity amongst the fans is only going to increase if positive things continue to happen on the pitch. We're never going to get rid of the Glazers.

I understand this is a sensible topic and everyone has their own view about this but let's try to keep it civil. We can have a good debate without calling each other idiots and so on. Cheers!

We're never going to get rid of the Glazers. You’re an idiot! Momentum won’t be lost because we won a game of football. It already has been lost. We had a week of crisis and pretty relentless media coverage, now we get stories of ten Hag's stamp and us turning a corner. United winning makes it easy for a sports media that doesn't really want to talk about the Glazers to talk about anything but. Those fucking scam artist fan cams cunts who will post whatever gets the most clicks from gullible morons go big on Glazers Out in crisis. Less so when there are other things to talk about. We need to be realistic here. I wanted the match called off last night. Failing that, an embarrassment wouldn't have been the worst thing. As it is, that team selection and the opposition means winning is enjoyable. But only as a standalone experience. Beating Liverpool will never not be enjoyable. Ultimately it's meaningless because we aren't going to win the League. We never will with these owners, and I'm not happy to allow the football team to bumble along while the rest of the club rots. Supporters need to start taking some personal responsibility. 'Emptying the stadium won't work.' Maybe not for the tourists or corporates, but if 50,000 ST holders all made the decision themselves to boycott attendance people would notice right fucking quick. Estimates say 10,000 people marched from the Tollgate, Sky hardly mentioned it. They turned the audio down on Glazers Out chants FFS. Empty seats cannot be glossed over. The 1958 and MUST should both be polling on this. And match disruption as well.
