I know he was getting some abuse for his comments earlier, but you'd have to hope the "we have other good midfielders" was the public spin, whereas in private Eric was very much saying "get someone in NOW".

Yeah all is forgiven for that crap about Fred and Casemiro being a good combination. Sabitzer is very much the quality we need to reinforce our midfield with Donny and eriksen out with long term injuries.

Looks like Chelsea have wrapped up the Enzo Fernandez signing. I still can't quite get my head around the fee they've paid for him and their overall spending this window. It's pathetic mate, he's gone from a 10M player to 100M+ in 6 months. Not saying he's not a good player or that he won't do well, but the market is fucked again. We over paid for Antony but we were desperate, they have about 37 midfielders, and he'd had 2 full seasons in Europe. It's pure dick swinging by Boehly. |
