Next question: Can you pronounce his name? Simple, it’s the noise Roman Reigns makes before he spears someone. I genuinely reacted to Sami's actions at the weekend like I would a 95th minute winner scored by Bruno (at about 5:15AM in the morning too!).

I mean, it was literally just me watching it alone, but I made a din.

Matt Doherty to Atletico Madrid is the biggest WTF transfer in a good while. That’s what you get when you join the rival of your boyhood club.

It’s not the top drawer type that we hope to be making once the cunts have fucked off but it’s good for our midfield options and squad depth at this moment in time.

I am hoping that under new ownership we make astute signings that will push us forward. Where required obviously you pay the big big bucks such as striker because the ones of real quiality are hard to find.
I would loathe to be throwing silly sums around on every purchase, that’s lazy scouting, lazy recruitment imo.
Sabitzer is a quality astute signing, one we should have made irrespective of the Eriksen situation. If he does very well, sign him up and throw in FDJ or neves also get a quality back up/competition for Casemiro. Add Osimhen and that’s a top summer.
We are fine on wingers, striker we need to spend. All other positions (Fullback and CB) we should be selling to buy.
This is just my opinion in terms of expectation

I think our one mistake of the window was keeping Elanga. We are stacked with wingers and to be honest I think they are all better than Elanga meaning he is 6th chose in a battle for 2 positions. I would have got him a move where he would play and improve with regular game time and give himself and us a solid chance of moving him permanently in the summer. By the way if he could play as a striker I’d think hmmm maybe considering Martial but reality is he was tried there and it failed badly. Also if the thought is due to martial rashford can play 9 and therefore the left is short, reality is Sancho would likely slot in there with Garnacho.
It’s and odd one really, I am there will be reasons why he stayed but I’d like to know those reasons.

Genuinely really happy with this. Just about the best we could do in the situation we're in. I was expecting nobody or another Weghorst level signing at best. Proper player. Worth it for that tash alone. Got to love an Austrian with a nice 'tash.

Seems pretty obvious to me that Elanga is being retained as our third choice striker. Erik has already mentioned his frustrations about Martial's lack of availability. Clearly Rashford needs to keep playing on the left where he is scoring goals for fun. So I can understand the logic. Agree Elanga hasn't exactly impressed on previous outings up front. But this is very much insurance against an injury crisis which isn't beyond the realms of possibility given Martial is injured half the time and all it would take is for Wout to pick up a knock for us to need someone to step in. Similarly would have been nice for Pellistri to get a loan move with Watford reportedly interested. But presumably Erik wants to keep him around in case Sancho has a relapse and Antony gets injured. A Hopefully in future when our squad is a bit deeper we will be able to give fringe players the loan time they need or alternately sell them for a decent price. But for this season I can understand why Erik is being cautious. I think our one mistake of the window was keeping Elanga. We are stacked with wingers and to be honest I think they are all better than Elanga meaning he is 6th chose in a battle for 2 positions. Eth can hopefully get a tune out of Martial Elanga and Sancho, we will soon find out what they really are about and see if they have what it takes to be a United player, he’s fair but his ruthless streak won’t allow for failure.

Think we need to look at offloading Martial in the summer. He can't stay fit and when he can he offers very little. Cash in and put the money towards Osimhen or a midfielder. We have more than enough cover on the left now so it wouldn't be a miss at this point. Elanga I just don't see being good enough. He works hard but that end product just isn't there. He's still young so maybe a loan deal for a season might benefit him but I'll be suprised if he can improve that much. As for Sancho I'm praying TH will get the best out him again. He's clearly got the talent, just hope he can turn that corner and produce it. He's done it with a few players this season so far so no reasoncto suggest he can't do it with him.

He isn't a game changer in his natural position. PLay him anywhere else and it just does the guy no favours. Loan or sell and allow him gametime and a career elsewhere.

What I find strange is that Elanga is often referred to as striker, but he's never looked like a goalscorer. Besides being somewhat pacey I don't see how he's getting gametime ahead of Pellistri & Garnacho, the former isn't nearly as good as many have been claiming but both deserve more chances than Elanga. Bang average player. Edit: Elanga is actually valued at 25m on Transfermarkt - I feel like I'm in the twilight zone
