Good recent record against this lot, let's hope it continues.

Apparently Eriksen still a doubt for this meaning we see McT start with Casemiro. I really wish ten Hag would give one of our young players a chance. Iqbal, Mainoo and Garnacho all worthy of a chance.

Iqbal, Mainoo and Garnacho all worthy of a chance. Genuinely would agree but MCT is a better offering than Fred (not hard i know) and that Spurs midfield will be strong so the experience of Casemiro and MCT might hopefully give us a platform to keep tight and win the game. I am clutching at straws no doubt, just want us to win

Scotty and Casemiro should be OK as a combative midfield. We've spent over £200m on Bruno Antony and Sancho. Between them they've only managed a few assists. Yes Ronaldo is off the pace and Rashford has been pretty wasteful especially recently but if we create enough chances every game eventually the goals will come and neither of the three I've mentioned are pulling their weight in that respect. Eriksen has more assists than the three of them put together playing from a much deeper position in midfield.
I imagine Rashford will start upfront as he did well in the big games against Arsenal and Liverpool and our best chances are likely to come on the counter attack.
At least our first choice defence should be available and we might be able to manage another clean sheet.

We really need to be winning this one.
Bruno might be failing to create but his work rate is as good as any in that squad so if Eriksen is out out him alongside Casemiro with Sancho at 10, hes a creative player, let him do that without having to worry about pace.

If Fred starts I’ll have no words. Especially as Hojberg and Bissouma will dominate him.

If Donny is fit then start him, no chance he’s worse than McDonkeys.

If Donny is fit then start him, no chance he’s worse than McDonkeys. Donny is still out. The solution with McTominay or Fred is Bruno alongside Casemiro. Problem solved.

Still struggle for goals I think, I cant see anyone scoring for us to be honest.
I think we will win 1-0, being hopeful

I quite like the idea of switching Bruno and Eriksen around. With Casemiro so defensively sound we can get away with Bruno in CM and in CM there is less pressure to score goals and provide assists and with Eriksen playing further forward he will be able to use his creativity to unlock defences. Perhaps not for the Tottenham game where we'd be better off with Casemiro and Scotty as a combative midfield but certainly against weaker teams it is worth a go.

Impossible to tell at this point. I’m not feeling overly optimistic because we have no goals or creativity in the side without Erikseen and Martial.

Bruno should be dropped and go with McT and Casemiro and let Eriksen play a bit further forward if fit. He'll probably have a MOTM performance, now that I said that. His work rate has been good etc, but he has had little effect on games where he is supposed to.
Everyone else has been dropped and given time to assess their performance! If Eriksen isn't fit then he'll have to play though, but hopefully he does something in this game. He really needs to step up with our blunt strike force

Ronaldo's scored more goals against this lot than any other team in the league so let's hope that's a good omen tonight.

At the pub after work. Realised I had to leave now to make the game but wasn’t hard to not worry (will stick it on my phone whilst I’m still here). Improvement is being made but we have a long way to go to get me out of my long-term malaise with this club.
Or maybe I’m just getting older!
