What was also apparent last night was how effective the press has become. It now looks like each player is part of a unit when we’re out of possession.

I'm with you, keep progress moving, it can be done quickly if the willingness is there, invest a lot now to spend less in the future. Regards Gakpo, i'm sure i read Ruud was preparing him to become a central striker? Yeah spot on, Ruud has been working with him alot in regards to making the transition. He is learning from one of the best in regards to putting the ball in the back of the net, coming to us and being trained by ETH furthers his development and growth which can only bode well for us. Well lets just hope if Ruud does mould him well that he has us at the front of the queue for him! |

Also...Antony looks the real deal, we probably won't see the best of him this season but he's going to be a world beater.

Yeah Antony looks class, not quite sure where some albeit small criticism has come from. He can beat a man and has a wand of a left foot. Going to be extremely fun watching him over the coming years. First name on our teamsheet in attack by a country mile.

I mean how many January's will we suffer. Rangnick needed something in January and we saw how that ended. Ole got Bruno and we saw the uplift. If we don't buy Murthough really needs to walk because his job right now is to ensure he has sales lined up thus the manager can get Tielemans and Gakpo. Skrinar too. We should be offering Inter and Leicester swap deals to see if they bite. This The reason we seem to be rinsed for players year on year is because clubs sense our desperation. 1 more window like the last one to improve our well-known weak spots and we will then be at the stage where just 1 or 2 signings each summer will be enough to keep the squad in tip top condition. I feel for the first time in many a moon that we have finally turned a corner with us having some world class players (not enough of them just yet) being managed by a top-drawer manger. Let's not squander this opportunity. |

We know the defence is much improved and they passed another test keeping Kane and Son quiet. Casemiro we all know his qualities and this was his best game for us. And that gives us a really solid base. Also encouraging that Bruno can play well in a Ten Hag setup but he needs to replicate this level every week. Fred we obviously know it was a one-off but it does suggest that if we do manage to bring in a box to box midfielder like Bellingham in the summer or Tielemans in January it will take us to another level.
Antony was much better tonight and had much more of an influence. Rashford movement was good but we really need a CF who can finish. Sadly looks like Ronaldo isn't going to get into the team under Ten Hag.
Tielemans and Gakpo in January and I think we could finish comfortably in the top 3 and go far in the cups.
