Maguire get’s protection from the media. Imagine a foreign player having the last 12 plus months he’s had . Yes, he's wank. Did you enjoy the goals or anything though? Any positives or just nah? Aye, Maguire kept a clean sheet 😂

How on Earth did he walk off after that.. The knob on commentary said it was never a foul as he took the ball first. Case closed.

Ten Hag not particularly pleased with the performance in his post match interview. he knows how to compliment players and performances but clearly calls it out when things dont go the way he wants it. . love to see that

How annoying that just when we build up a good run of form we hit a 10 day gap to our next game, completely crushing momentum.

Another good result.
Get Everton and Charlton out the way and then City at home and Arsenal away so they'll be the big two tests to see how much we really are improving.

Where are we, Soviet Russia? People aren't even allowed to reply to things anymore if the reply is considered too negative?

Clean sheet Tick 3 goals Tick 3 points Tick.
Keep calm, work on staying tight and not giving away so many chances, work on being more clinical. We are moving in the right direction

Could have easily just said we played well etc. Great to see a manager that has standards, the right ones at that. Really do like how he comes across in his interviews.

The guy is just a stud manager and if we can’t make it work with him we really need to just delete the club. So impressive on virtually every aspect.

I've been pleasantly surprised at the results since the World Cup break. OK the fixtures haven't been that challenging. But the lads haven't played or trained together for a month and most of them haven't been playing together for years so you would expect some disjointed performances and rustiness and they are still learning and being drilled to play the way Erik wants so not training with Erik for a month would have a negative impact. Not to mention we are not at full strength especially in defence. But we are still grinding out the results and even if the team isn't playing particularly well players like Casemiro and Rashford are stepping up.
Our biggest weakness is lack of squad depth. So the World Cup break could play in our favour as for many of our players it has effectively been a winter break for them as they either didn't feature in the World Cup or didn't go very far in the competition. That should allow us to limit rotation and hopefully build enough of a comfortable lead over our top 4 rivals that it won't matter too much if we run out of steam towards the end of the season. Caraboa Cup is also a great competition as you can win it before the end of the season. I wouldn't be too bothered if we got knocked out of the Europa by Barcelona. That would allow us to focus on the Premier League and the domestic cups without having to mess around with foreign travel. We've also looked crap in Europe this season so even if we got past Barcelona I wouldn't necessarily fancy us to win it. So for me a great first season would be 3rd place and a domestic cup. That would make us an attractive proposition this summer for new signings and help the new owners buy into Erik's project and give him the control he needs to bring it to fruition.
