My bone to pick with ETH (besides the starting lineup) is why not make changes at half time to correct what was going on. Saka coming off the wing and going 1v1 with Shaw then cutting across the top of the box and beating Eriksen and not changing that tactically was bad as it happened on many occasions.
On the other side Martinelli just brutalizing AWB all half and no changes tactically to correct was another head scratcher. At the least Anthony and WW should never have started the second half today. If Eric cannot see these things he has three other assistant coaches that should….

Arsenal and Chelsea are bringing players in this window just for fun. For fucks sake all we could do is WW? Do we not have a U23 player or a player somewhere in our academy that could at least play a little bit of footy up top? We’re skint. 300 million still owed on transfers plus the debt. Only reason the rats aren’t picking up their dividends this time around.

By the way Marcus today was superb. Never want to read in here again that he’s not “world class” He wasn't and he clearly isn't. Just stop it please. He is and clearly was today. Fixed it for you.

The manager also isn't in charge of selling/ buying players. He can advise but that's as far as it goes. His substitutions over the last few weeks were criticised then turned out to help win us games, city being the more recent one bringing on Garnacho. Granted today he got it wrong and should be rightly be criticised for it. Unfortunately it happens as frustrating as it may be. Our squad depth is poor, I beleive he's aware of that. Been expecting the over reaction from some towards Ten Hag for a while now after the run we've been on. It's almost as though some want him to fail. Some have already called for him to be sacked. Its just constant fucking negativity. It's boring af now. He's had one window to sort stuff out, it's impossible to get everything done in that time. The manager gave an interview in which he specifically stated he would not have taken the job without control of transfers. So that is not a valid excuse. He has had *two* windows to sort out the squad and has ushered 15/16 players out the door to replace them with five or six. He hounded Ronaldo out of the club and replaced him with Weghorst. Yet Ten Hag hasn't once called out the owners for more signings or spoken publicly to force the dross out of the club. Defend the bloke all you wish but stop making shit up and pretending it's fact. He's had one window. This window he's had his hands tied behind his back. Not sure what else he's meant to have done. He didn't hound Ronaldo out, Ronaldo did that himself. I'm not even getting into this nonsense again (dont want to be accused of being a stalker). Enough with this shit about calling the owners out. Again no manager is ever going to do that without putting themselves in the firing line. Too right I'll defend the bloke because so far he's earned that right. He's made mistakes along the line, today included but we've also just won 9 out of the last 11., to which he's had very little credit. I'm as pissed as the next about today but in the grand scheme of things I'd rather focus on the positives so far this season. Top 4 and a cup run was the aim at the start of the season, we're in the top 4 and in the semi final of a cup so far with a thin squad when it comes to talent. I'd say so far he's done a decent job.

Honestly I know your a fucking huge red and I'm not trying to diss or take the piss in this post mate, but you have gone bitter as fuck about the club, and rightly so, but if it's angering you that much, maybe take a break from it all for a while, atleast until we get new owners and then let's see if anything actually changes. Sorry bushy, I'm not having that. It isn't bitter to point out when people are stating verifiably wrong information. Realism isn't bitterness either. It might be not be what you want to read but we've been worn down into expecting the worst and hoping for the passable. Until that changes why would I allow myself to get giddy only to inevitably be disappointed?

Mate I totally agree, the last ten years made us think mcfred Maguire lindelof ect is the required level for us, they have made us accept some of the worst football I have ever seen, but it's totally different under ETH, he has his issues bit he's been here 6 months and this is the closest to a club I have felt since fergie finished up, but he is still under those leaches, we have seen one of the best managers of all time work under these and fail in Jose, today was gutting and he made mistakes palace was annoying as fuck, but not everything is doom and gloom. Also mate, iv got a lot of time for you so I'm not trying to be a dick and start booting off, i think we are just both seeing things differently.

He was literally one of the most dangerous players on the park and caused Arsenal problems all game. Did all that with a big donkey up front. Even my non United fan mates were singing his praises today.

I forgot how insufferably irritating Arsenal fans are. As much as I’d like them to win the league over City, there would be something slightly amusing about a total capitulation at some point.

Very disappointing. I’m mostly sad that we’re now going to be talking about 4th place again. Arsenal are playing really well but we showed them way too much respect. It actually felt like every time we had a go they were fragile. Anthony is going to be one of the most frustrating transfers in years. I don’t remember if he is 22 or 23, but anyway, for 100mil you are buying more than just potential - especially when we’re not buying a teenager. He cost and is paid more than Mudryck!

No manager and I include the all powerful Fergie has a go at the owners. That's our job, they just play the cards they're dealt as any coach would do. Ten Hag for me has done a top job so far and im confident he's the right coach for us right now. He's been here a short time and in that time, he's significantly changed the attitude of these players and improved players enough that they resemble an actual team. When's the last time you were ever disappointed that Dalot was injured? He hasn't even signed that many players but other than Anthony the other two have already proven to be quality players. I wouldn’t call Weghorst a signing, in fact I've no idea what that is. I don't believe he fell off his chair with excitement when faced with that option. I can only imagine what the alternatives were. I'm fed up being depressed about utd. The standards that made the teams great ain't there anymore and won't be until the leeches are gone and competent ownership found. Last season was so appalling that I'll soak up every ounce of this positivity while it's available.

I know must seem like a right misery at times, especially recently. I do think we might have the best chance of this being an actual turned corner. We are going in the right direction -- probably. He has limits that are outside his direct control but there are possible signs for optimism. Just a bit jaded and fed up with seeing the same myths being parroted out at if ten Hag is Midas himself. There is also a sense that some people only want the rose-tinted version of reality and take the hump when others don't go with that flow. I probably overreact to what I see as OOT positivity.
