Very comfortable and exactly what we need to give ourselves a little bit of a reprieve. Would be fine seeing McFred for the next two games as keeping Casemiro and Eriksen fresh is absolutely crucial but wouldn't risk playing Maguire. Would also be OK resting Rashford in the second leg and giving Garnacho a start.

Judging by the players reaction to Wout’s goal, he’s one of the team. He's a stop gap, he's never gonna be prolific. But do think a lot of people are putting far too much expectation on him to be something he isn't. Glad he got that first goal tonight, he's off the mark. His work rate and movement are decent for a big lad and his hold up play is good, he creates space around him which allows the quicker players to be allowed more freedom. In the 3 games he's played that movment has already resulted in a few goals. It's not all doom and gloom. |

Given how poor AWB was again & how indiffernt Dalot can be at times,it's a bloody shame we didn't get Trippier after the Euro's,he is in great form & exactly the kind of RB that would vastly improve us,he would slot straight into exactly how ETH wants to play in his system.

His positional awareness is shocking. Genuinely thought he'd turned a bit of a corner but a prime example of him still struggling was their disallowed goal. He was nowhere to be seen. |
