Our current situation would suggest it’s a good few more than that ,we clearly lack strength in depth at least 7 or 8 means most of the likes of Maguire,Lindelof,Fred,McT,AWB,Elanga,DVB,Martial,Heaton,Butland,Weghorst are nowhere near the bench even when we are struggling with injuries or suspensions like we are currently. I’d say we need at least 5 more quality starters for rotation along with shifting all the shit in the quoted post. A world class starting 11 with about 4 world class players and few up and coming youth players on the bench.

With how this team is peforming this season they need to win this Carabao cup so badly just to get that taste of winning silverware. More will follow after that.

This is good from Xavi. He always seemed to have great respect for Utd so this is genuine. He was a great player and its a high compliment. Xavi was is in a similar situation to Ten Hag a year ago. They both inherited a cluster fuck and he knows how hard it is to turn it around.

Annoyed about how that happened, but I’d have taken 2-2 before the game. They’re the best team in Spain this season, and whilst we can legit feel hard done by at drawing, on the balance of play it’s probably fair.
We are facing proper teams and playing properly. Regardless of result, that is a giant leap over the past decade. Beating PSG with an injury time penalty is sweeter, but we played better tonight than we did that night. Ten Hag is building something good, something solid, and new owners this summer will enhance that massively.

Dave pulled out some great stops which makes that near post header even more annoying.

I can’t remember the last time we left with a draw against another European giant feeling disappointed with the result. Maybe that 1-1 in 2013 at Madrid. We easily could’ve been up 2 or 3 nil up after the first half. Both Barca and United had something to prove and it showed in what may be the most entertaining game in all euro competitions this season.

What was clear even from the tv was that both the Barca team and crowd were shutting themselves when Marcus was on the ball. It’s been a long time since we had a forward that struck terror into the opposition by his mere existence.

Osi and Bellingham and we’re right there. Add in some quality depth and perhaps an elite RB and we win pots a plenty.

What Erik has done with Rasher is genius, we knew he wasn't hitting full potential now look at him he`s unstoppable at times.
Hopefully he can do the same with a few others notably Sancho.

I’ll actually give him credit also for making AWB a relative non issue while Dalot has been hurt. He was written by anyone with a pair of eyes.

The ref may have bottled giving the free kick against Marcus that should of also resulted in a red card, but he partially made up for it by not giving the handball against Fred which I felt was a nailed on offence, even in this day of fluid rule interpretation.

I love Ten Hag but his weghorst experiment has to end, such a limited player to have at the top.

Felt unlucky not to come away with the win, and I suppose there's no point whinging about the definite red card that was simply waved away.
That said, we were brilliant in the second half and you feel the experience of going toe to toe with Barca in front of a packed Camp Nou will do wonders for the self-belief of this squad.
God, I've missed these proper European ties - in particular, the feeling of not dreading being battered and embarrassed.
Really hoping we can see this through at home, expecting OT to be up for this on the night.
