Winning games like that without case,Antony, eriksen,varane shows just how far we have come in under 1 season.

Did he say anything about that horrible challenge by Fabinho the other week? Thought the 2nd was offside. VAR thought otherwise. Shit first half but second was much better. Nice 3 points. League on hold for a couple of the weeks with a trip to the dippers. Seen sky sports at it already. Showing Stills of the contact making it look 10x worse than it actually was. They forget quickly . |

After watching his post-match interview on Sky Sports News where he highlighted exactly the “rubbish “ performances of the first half “I don’t have so much time here with you “ to discuss ,but “luckily we had a halftime ,we could repair some stuff” I don’t think my admiration for him could go much higher,
I also love the way that he never singles anyone out when he’s asked to by the journo’s, although he did mention the “joy of football “ whilst talking about Jayden and his rehabilitation.
What an incredible manager we have.

Also seeing the Geordies trying to make out that they're hard done by because their keeper made a save near the halfway line is brilliant to watch.

Great day out, felt a bit of a carnival atmosphere at OT after we’d got over that miserable start to the first half. No urgency, we looked like a struggling mid table team without Casemiro. Second half we could have had plenty more. A few key take always from me, FWIW:
- De Gea is amazing. Those two saves in the first half were superhuman. There was almost a half second or so of stunned silence after the first one, then a roar like we’d scored. Also his kicking was pretty good today. I can’t fathom how some would like us to “upgrade” him.
- Sancho suits that 10 position well. He’s weird to watch, he can be so slow it’s like he’s carrying an injury, but his close control is incredible. So pleased he scored.
- Rashford is the most lethal striker in world football.
- Lindelof had a terrific game. Amazing how Maguire turns everything and everyone around him into shit.
- Weghorst is fucking appalling. Can’t kick, can’t head and trudges along at a snail’s pace.By the end the team was trying SO hard to give him a goal but nope.
- High point: tens of thousands of us singing “Jamie Vardy, your wife is a grass”
Bring on Barca, crush the Geordies! People fear us again.

And Big Dave didn’t make the WC squad…appalling.
We have some players who are crucial to our team and we can build around.
Dave-Martinez-Casemiro-Shaw-Bruno-Rashford are the core. Hopefully Antony-Sancho-Garnacho can be added to the list.
And ETH has proven himself to be the real deal, we are in good hands with him. If the purchase goes though as we all expect, I can’t imagine how we will look in a year.

The improvement in the players Erik inherited is incredible, just goes to show what a proper coach and man-manager can do.
We now have a team that’s great to watch again, and a club that feels united (in more than one sense). Brilliant! Happy Monday!
