Apart from the penalty I thought Bruno was outstanding aswell. He was everywhere. Not enough is said about his work off the ball.

How nice is it to actually have a manager that makes changes when he needs to instead of just sitting back and hoping for the best. And actually have the changes make a difference. Proper manager.

The difference a proper coach makes.
Before ETH that first half shit show today would have continued through the second half. Probably down 3-0 at the half. Subs maybe by the 68th minute who come on and have a walk a bout the park. Barca would have put 5-6 goals past us last year.
The post match banter by our captain would be about the tough loss but how they continue to support each other and will gather themselves and trudge on for the next match….Thank fuck we are through with that.

Watching Varane just makes you laugh at the complete over hype of VVD.
Don't get me wrong, at his peak 3 years or so ago he was very, very good. But he's 31 and had probably 3 great seasons in his career. Varane has done this for a decade. For country too. Absolute top class player.
Casemiro could marry my daughter, if I had one. RVP was probably the last time I took to a player so quick after he joined. Throw Lisandro in there too, what a beast.
Christ we've went from signing AWB, James and fuckstick to Varane, Casemiro and Lisandro. I could cry.

Two great games. I am liking the fact that we have a bit of shit housery in the team now. We've been missing that for quite some time. Casemiro and LM are very talented in the dark arts. Shaws back heel last night. Brilliant. On to the final on Sunday!
